I have loved the music on the Fame soundtrack & I used to dream of being a choreographer, ever since I was in my high school dance team. I loved watching Debbie work, and she was a huge reason for the success of the movie, along with the fantastic songs. My name really IS Debbie Allen & I'm always happy when someone knows who Debbie Allen, the choreographer is bc I feel connected to her by the love of dance. I injured my lower back at 15 years old and it has grown to a point where I can't even work anymore.
I'm turning 65 soon & I still adore Irene's voice & the movie. I bought the movie & soundtrack. I was so sad to see her go but she's still with us within her songs.

I remember this show. We never watched it, the moment we heard this song my dad said it was a show for homosexuals so we'd change the channel 😂

FAME was a time when unattractive people could still be leads in a mainstream movie. The movie wasn't that good and the theme song was even worse. I just dropped by to say so ( and provoke a response )

Apparently when they filmed the part when they were dancing in the street, they hadn't yet written the song, so they actually just played Hot Stuff by Donna Summer and later dubbed over it with "Fame"
