Children do soak up new info like a sponge and that's a problem : they are in a state where they understand nothing and have to take adults' word as fact, which is a very vulnerable position. Of all the representation, this is my favorite.

I remember being quite little and making a fleeting comment about boys being icky, and my mom (jokingly of course) said - well, you’ll become a boy when you turn “this” age. That’s how it works. And I was like 😮 nooooo! She laughed and laughed, but tried to convince me that’s just what happens! 🤷‍♀️ Needless to say, I finally realized she was kidding (though not very funny, but my mom doesn’t have much of a sense of humor), but there was a day or two I was sweating it. So kids DO understand the concept of gender, but the concept of changing gender is pretty confusing without having deeper understanding of human psychology. I fully respect those who transition full on because that is what rights their wrong (I’ve known a few, and respect their struggle to become truly passing), but these strange people on between are still very baffling to me.

Problem I often spot is, most never seem to make the effort to really try to look like the gender they believe to be.
Like if a person is a trans man for example, why would they also try to look feminine still, when they believe themselves to be a male.
And a trans woman, looking more masculine despiting trying to be a woman.
It defeats the purpose..
Which is why I just don't see them as real trans people.

I truly love it when trans people have more conservative views than I do. I love that we disagree. It turns out we can have differing opinions that are not based on hate or fear.
