Thank you. I used almost the same technique to make end tables and a coffee table out of hatches from a WW II Victory Ship complete with hardware, Steel bands and indented grab holds .

I have done this on oak but found that burning the wood first then light sanding with 220 grit accentuates the grain then stained and poly ! Did all the trim in my bathroom this way! Nice work

Fantastic distressing job! I'm going to give your technique a try, but I'm not sure what you mean by using a "software brushes". There's a lot of similar looking "knot" wire wheels on Amazon. Is .020 steel wire considered soft or hard? Thanks for the video!
