Ответить@NightShiftScaleModels Hey mate i love your videos, just found your channel last night but ive always had a passion for miniatures. What is your opinion on vinegar + stool wool rusting for models? It's a really old technique and it usually comes right off with water; but i can't help wonder if theres any longterm damage or hidden dangers im unaware of. Thanks! -Emma
ОтветитьAply chipping after or before varnish??

ОтветитьThese are great tips! Thanks!
ОтветитьAmazing video for us lame kit builders, Thanks
ОтветитьI think Maretu is going to do things to us…
ОтветитьAmazing tips and techniques! I am especially impressed by your ability to fix the heavy-handed mistakes by toning down with thinner and edge work. The end results are great!
ОтветитьI'm applying these technics on my attack on titan gear for cosplay. The video was very entretaining, thank you for it! ❤
ОтветитьCongrats 🎉🎉
you’re a good person because MARETU made a playlist with u in it
Great info. Im in this stage on a Walker Bulldog, my third model build since getting into modeling, and this info turned it all into "holy sht, THATS how its done!" I was stuck after watching another guy and doing exactly as he did. He used Ammo Mig Olive Drab and Vallejo Hemp for his lighter color. I uses Vallejo Olive drab and Hemp and I was stuck because my post shading didnt look like his. I think Vallejo OD green is darker than Migs. Anyway, this was extremely helpful because Im doing a Humvee next and saw a guy do an excellent weathering on it but his vid didnt explain all his awesome sand blasting on windows. This did. Thanks!
ОтветитьThis was an amazing video. I tell all my friends about it. technique #1 worked the best for me. It took me two years to work up the courage to try but the results were amazing.
ОтветитьInteresting ....
ОтветитьYou mention that if you use chipping fluid you can say goodbye to modulation and post-shading, etc. On the contrary, doesn't chipping fluid ensure that you can use these techniques? For example if I want to do camo that is, say, DG sprayed over a rotbraun hull, but chipping at the sides, and I have modulated the rotbraun, the brush chips won't match the color underneath (at least not exactly). Right? Or am I misunderstanding?
ОтветитьWhat is the theory behind picking the color for the first layer of chipping? If the model was white, or black, or beige, for instance, how do we pick the "base" color?
Ответитьthe "bad" chipping results at the beginning looked fine to me, lol.
Ответитьi loved all of it....
ОтветитьAnother useful tip is to make the chips tell a story, areas which get impacted more would have more chips like where the crew would climb in, where things would scrape like down the sides in the direction of travel and where stuff would be thrown up (like bricks at track ends with damaged guards etc)
ОтветитьI like your models a lot of modellers really over do weathering on war time aircraft and amour when often these vehicles did not last very long. Rust and oil leaks are what bug me most . Mud , dints and scrapes and battle damage and field repairs and some exhaust stains but most look fairly clean.
ОтветитьThank you for this video. Greetings Tino
Ответить"Badly painted chips can destroy a model"
Puts up picture of a model painted better than anything I have ever done
I came across your channel and have become addicted to your work. I am a model railroader and some of my equipment will really benefit from weathering and chipping. Also, your foam carving is just eye opening. Nicely done!
ОтветитьDo you have a painting demo of what the rust would look like if the vehicle WAS abandoned? I’d love to see that, please.
ОтветитьBloopers might have been the best part.🤣
ОтветитьWow! The tanks look REAL!! Be great for movie scenes.
ОтветитьVery informative and great to watch how its all done
ОтветитьGreat video, I'm new to painting models and have saved this video to practice chipping.
ОтветитьWow looks amazing painted
ОтветитьI am all in on crypto, but this video inspires me 👀🔥
Ответить‘More chipper’ 😂
ОтветитьEasiest way to make good lokin chips is by creating adequat scale town or wood with small buildings, trees, fences roads and so on. And drive through that envirorement lots of times. Also shoot with tiny bullets and throw peaces of sand instead of stones.
ОтветитьI thought "chipping" meant how to manage my heroin addiction.
Ответитьafter the vallejo paints do you make a layer of varnish again befor you beginn with the rost wash?
ОтветитьTo bad you can't do nothing about you're voice 😖😖😖😖🤦♂🤦♂🤦♂🤦♂
ОтветитьThe bloopers sound like Jimmy Valmer from South Park
ОтветитьSponge.....got it.😉
Seriously though, great info and descriptions, and the added bloopers are fun as well.
Excellent info. Thanks for sharing.
Ответить“Badly painted chips” that didn’t look that bad
ОтветитьThanks, you're a true artist!
ОтветитьGreat video. Thank you.
ОтветитьMartin, I noticed how well you demonstrated the chipping effects during the eleven minute segment. Even when using a "bad" technique and inferior brushes, you managed to produce a highly respectable finished piece. I guess your talent transcends your tools. Excellent job. Thanks.
