I can say that his speech is very inspiring and motivating because of what he said and always remember of all the wisdom that your parents or from anyone told you and never give up despite of all the problems you are facing in your journey and also he was just also inspired by his teacher and thats why he also wants us to be inspired and continue our dreams or journey and to achieve our goal an be successful in life and always dream big.

I came here through a boy named Jay's recommendation - a member of K-pop boy group Enhypen, who was older than me by 1 year. He's a man now, at least in my mind. He asked me to watch this video because this was the speech that defined the man he is right now. Well, Jay has a huge impact on me, and I'm glad I listened to him. I could see the Jay I know through every single lesson I got from this speech. Just- my appreciation

It was so nice to meet you today Dr Rigsby!!!

I'll never forget the first time I heard Dr. Rigsby's speech. By the end...I had tears streaming down my face. It literally moved my soul.
That was a couple years ago and I made a decision to start applying those simple yet powerful words to my own life....I realized I wasn't living.
But as life does...it throws us curve balls that even the strongest and wisest can never be fully prepared for. Last year life did just that to me and I hit rock bottom. I remembered this speech and along with my Faith, and prayer...I listened to this again, and again....tears streamed down my face.
I was just about at the point of giving up, but I knew deep in my heart that it wasn't time for that.
I remembered how much this man's word's impacted my life...hitting rock bottom makes for a great foundation to stand on.
Never give up....no matter how difficult and how bleak hope may seem for you....Just stand.
Thank you Dr. Rick Rigsby...you are truly an amazing man.

Damn. That moved me to tears. "Maybe one of my boys will catch me in the act of excellence." True leadership can come from anywhere, even a cook who dropped out of the 3rd grade. What a gripping speech that had everything from heart to humor. "You keep standing." I absolutely love his take on rock bottom, it's a great place to build a foundation, just "keeping standing." Someone once told me you are the co-signer to every emotion that you feel. This was a fantastic reminder that even someplace like rock bottom isn't the end, it all depends how you're willing to look at it. Thank you for such incredible words of wisdom. It doesn't matter how long, but how i live. That's going on the whiteboard!
