This doesn't come for free. You need POWER and STRENGHT to be able to carv properly. Before the season you need to properly strengthen your legs and core muscles and gain stamina. Carving is NOT for everyone. Carving is sport, heavy workout. If you are not willing to put effort of prework, dont dream of carving.

What skis are you on. And what length compared to your bodylength? Great videos😀

Really helpful and informative to understand the different turn types and their application. Thank you for exposing that there is more than one way to carve, especially as an intermediate progressing.

The cross under looks cooler when you're not on the toilet. Also it feels so much better whenthe skis push back against you floating down the slope.

I've been skiing for two weeks now and your videos gave me the confidence to do my very first blue run a few days ago. Thanks sooo much for allowing me to experience this epic feeling in life on the slopes. Your videos are truly the best!!!

Absolutely love these videos. But I seriously got to wonder, how are some of these shots of you blasting down the mountain being filmed? You're going quite fast, banging out some big carves, and blasting past other folks on the slope, so is the camera man essentially just going straight down the mountain, downhill racer style, no turns, right next to you?

Can you reccomend a good skis to buy? Now I have Volkl RTM 2019, they are good but dont forgive alot and not too good when slopes have heavy/wet snow, like in the end of the day. Im thinking if I should buy skis like “black crow” that are wider and flost better..?

The cross under technique works great on powder. When the snow pushes back turn.

You are a very talented athlete. I wish you would talk more about when it is appropriate and not appropriate to do tricks or ski fakey. I see lots of weak skiers trying to pull tricks on very crowded slopes. It's like they don't think about their landing zone at all. Trying to learn to ski backwards on a crowded slope is a recipe for disaster.

Love it. Worked on a number of those with Swiss Ski School Grindelwald on Carv today. I guarantee that you can get that "cross under" score up with a couple of little extra moves that the weightlessness and scooting of the skis across the hill gives you the time for that you are not doing on that assessed run.

The stivot is simply a tool for getting your skis back on a preferred line. What is controlling your speed is the slarve (tails sliding out at end of turn before the transition) you are using to finish those turns.

Я как мегановичек без единой тренировки с тренером в основном катаюсь третьим способом. По правде сказать это скорее дрифт, а не карвинг)

This is awesome. I've been using the stivot for years, and I just thought I was being sloppy, having some skid at the top of my turns before getting a bite and carve.

Now I have a name for this thing I do, and can feel like I'm doing proper skiing. And THAT'S how I became a "better" skier in one short video.

I do too much of a carve turn in the steep black diamond. Groomed stuff throws you off. It's tough to have the right kind of turns for the condition.

Really nice overview and breakdown of different techniques! I'm not sure that it was clear enough in the video that these are quite advanced. Many intermediate skiers will easily get too backseat trying the cross under technique, or skid too much with the stivot.
