I stopped watching when Joni announced her “engagement”. The whole setup to get viewers to accept and approve of it was a gaslighting work of art! She was obviously so manipulative and it was one of those moments when flashbacks make you realize how many other times you’d heard similar wording. That’s when the trust is gone. I have no idea what's going on. I will just say it seemed to me that the mother, Joni, married up quite quickly after her husband's surprising death. Bringing b in that Doug...I wonder if that has any bearing on what's going on. Seems odd.
