Being in the UK some of these vintage holiday dolls are so pricey :(
ОтветитьWatching this because I keep mine in the box and wanted to see which color she had on her shoes :P My favorite Holiday Barbie for sure <3
ОтветитьIt’s hard to put into words but I totally understand what you mean. The 90’s doll 😍my WHOLE collection is the greatest 90’s glamour dolls, plus a few more 😅
ОтветитьBack in the 90's telling a female she looked like a Barbie doll, was the ultimate hyperbolic compliment! Because you were saying she looked IMPOSSIBLY BEAUTIFUL! But nowadays? Telling a female she looks like a Barbie? Is basically saying she's an ugly sloppy heffard 😂
ОтветитьIndeee!!! Today's Barbies (for the most part) REALLY REALLY SUCK!!!!!
Ответить1992 is my favorite 😍
ОтветитьMe know this dum question so you know about summer barbie movie July 21. 🩰👙
ОтветитьYou are speaking TRUTH! I have every holiday doll since the beginning. As of late, I have stopped buying them. The quality is too weak. Last year I bought the LOL New Years Eve doll!
ОтветитьMy aunt has this doll in the box
ОтветитьI kinda like 90s Barbies, but i feel like they were too plain for me and had similar faces. BUT Barbie was stunning in the early 2000s up to about 2010 and 2011 if I remember correctly. I don't know what happened to Barbie after 2011 but she's gotten uglier and uglier over the years. When I was a little girl I was obsessed with Barbie and had many pretty dolls. Now I love to look at Barbie Movie Dolls, like the ones from Princess and the Pauper, the Magic of Pegasus, Swan Lake, 12 Dancing Princesses, etc. Even those older classical Barbie movies were incredible. Nowadays even the movies seem to be boring. I don't know, I really wish Mattel would go back to producing the stunning Barbies they once used to. Like all they have to do is look at their Barbies from 2006 and do that. MGA has done it, so I wish Mattel would as well. Whenever I go to Walmart or toy stores, I look at Barbies but they're just so boring so i immediately go back to buying Bratz/Rainbow High. About 10 years ago Barbie would come with so many nice eyes, blue, green orange, purple, yellow, hazel, brown, pink, etc. eyes. Now it seems the blond Barbies all have the same shade of blue eyes. Boring. Some of their Holiday Barbies are still somewhat nice. Please Mattel, bring back stylish/glamorous/creative Barbie. Right now MGA is really nailing it with their Bratz comeback and Rainbow High, so I really wish Mattel would bring back the pretty stylish Barbie from my childhood.
Ответитьi totally agree
ОтветитьI completely agree. For me 80s and 90s barbies are just the best. Barbies after 2000s got cheaper looking, feeling and their faces are just not as good. Especially compared to other doll lines now like Monster High or Rainbow High and so many other.
ОтветитьThe quality of fabrics and detail was incredible. The hair styles and makeup were gorgeous. Now the prices are so high and they're crap
ОтветитьThere is such joy of seeing the holiday dolls that immediately put you in the holiday mood ... quality has changed it's sad...
ОтветитьI totally agree that we need more holiday dolls. I remember as a kid, we would get Halloween and Easter dolls, and I even had a 4th of July doll. They need to bring those back. Rainbow High came out with a Valentine’s Day doll and a Chinese New Year doll. Mattel needs to catch up lol
ОтветитьI have a question are you Alexa Bliss
ОтветитьI never had the opportunity to get a holiday Barbie, but I do remember the amazing outfits so well. Also, those shoes, when I was a toddler I used to bite them LMAO.
ОтветитьLook like harley quinn like your Brite color hair and make up 80s & 90S BARBIES are better 💖👍
ОтветитьI totally agree that the 1990's dolls were wonderful!! I don't buy Barbies anymore! I don't buy them for my granddaughters!
ОтветитьI agree. I was born in 1991 and my mom collected these for me as a child. The difference between those barbies and the barbies today is SAD. That goes for a lot things back then vs now. Have you noticed the quality of McDonald’s happy meal toys now compared to 20-30 years ago? They are absolute crap.
ОтветитьThis is one of my all-time dream Barbies. Some day I will have my own in my collection. Maybe it is the dress, the makeup and the extravaganza hair I just need her in my life. I love these videos where you talk about the 80s and 90s Barbies. I think I have binge-watched all of them. I hope you continue making them in the future. The holiday line from the early 90s was truly gorgeous.
ОтветитьI just purchased my first 1982 dream cottage today and I'm thinking about purchasing some of these holiday Barbies to put in it, which one do you recommend I search for?
ОтветитьI have the older holiday Barbies 1988 to 2001 and then it gets very sparse because I don’t like everyone and I haven’t got a new one in a few years. I do love the new made to move dolls❤️
ОтветитьI found the 1988 1st holiday Barbie at the thrift store for 6$ back in October, I was totally in love the same way you are
Ответитьall the older dolls are basically art. Today? UGH. After 2007, it was downhill. 2016 should have been $15, tops. Last years and this years was different because it wasn't a red gown, but I'm bored. I won't pay more than $35 for any of them. It's off to Walmart for me and I buy them in September before the prices pop off.
ОтветитьSadly my 1991 Holiday doll has discoloration and her dress is partially peach.
ОтветитьThe holiday Barbie it’s amazing .The dresses are one of my favorite parts. I also love how so much that they put into the art I just I love the art
ОтветитьI also prefer the older Barbie's! I am not a collector of the holiday line particularly but I do appreciate the beautiful outfit and hair.
I came across a Barbie Collector doll , Autumn in Paris, she is beautiful and her clothes are detailed and have no velcro! I hope they continue with this type and level of fineness.
Your makeup in this video is gorgeous!
ОтветитьI love her make up, I have this Barbie and some other Holidays. The original one is my favorite, I have 2 dolls of that one xD. But there are so many so pretty. Love them.
ОтветитьI have a Holiday Barbie (Teresa) 1996 she’s in a red and white dress from childhood not complete but than I have her inbox never opened I’m trying to get all the 90s Barbie I’ve had or lost clothes to
ОтветитьI feel the same way you do! The past few years have been really disappointing. Cheap fabrics, boring boxes, minimal jewelry. I think they’ve been bad since the mid 2000s. 2002 was beautiful in the burgundy dress. 2016 was god awful. She has the plastic bodice and is just so plain and cheap. My favorite is probably 1989. I sure hope they don’t discontinue the holiday line. It’s a tradition.
ОтветитьHoliday Barbie isn’t the same anymore ! Early era stunnnnnningggg 🤩🤩
ОтветитьI wish Mattel still had that kind of quality. So much cheap fabric now and weird wonk eye stuff going instead. ☹️ I'm glad I kept all my 80s/90s Barbies
ОтветитьI wish Mattel quality would return 😩😭😭😭
ОтветитьThe Holiday Barbie from 2020 is not even that bad. Holiday Barbie 2021 is a complete disappointment personally. It’s like they designed her in two hours. Very cheap-looking :(
ОтветитьYour makeup came purrrrfect . You are giving purrrrr. 🐈⬛ . 🐆 should we make you a dress for next year? What haliday Barbie dress would you want the most. Yes I love the haliday Barbie but the ones in our childhood were better. But I want all them. I wish they do haliday dolls like the silkstones lol you know you know you know. Love you
ОтветитьThe quality of barbie dolls was a lot better. The play version.
Ответитьi love the old holiday barbies unfortunately we don't get them around here so all i can get are the modern ones
ОтветитьHoliday Barbie of 1990 is my favorite ☺️
ОтветитьI get what you say with the brushes. The bratz star brush is like top shelf nostalgia for me
Ответитьgreat video for christmas
ОтветитьDefinitely the level of luxuriousness has gone down over the years, and there are likely several reasons for that. However, I have 2019 and 2021, and I really like them. There are many past dolls that I would like to have, but especially 1997 because I had that one when I was younger.
ОтветитьI mean... inflation exists. Of course something that used to cost $20 back in 1990 won't be $20 today. There's also increased costs of plastic and well, basically everything.
That being said, still prettier than what we see recently though! I definitely prefer dolls wearing things we can't wear IRL, it's the same reason people play dress-up games, because it's to experience things you can't practically do in real life.
vintage Barbie videos are my faves!!!! I got the 1996 Barbie Bloomingdales for x mas!! I know is not super rare but here in Mexico is very difficult to find vintage so I had to have it!!! FELIZ NAVIDAD!!
ОтветитьI love 1989 holiday Barbie I like the earlier edition's too
ОтветитьHi ! I am a very proud owner of the entire Holiday Barbie collection and i don't have a favorite, but the 1988 doll (the first one) was the hardest to find and was the most expensive, so she's very special to me ❤. I also agree with you, the best dolls are the 90's up to 2003 ish, after that, quality went out the window !! I still collect them though, hopping, one year, they will get better ! And i understand your frustration with the quality of 30 years ago versus today ! I think every doll collector does, it's something we all hope changes - we want the over the top Barbie we all love and miss !!! It would be great if you made more videos with older dolls, i would love to watch you review some more of those... Thank You 💗
ОтветитьModern barbies are just garbage
ОтветитьThe only holiday Barbie i had was a set of the 3 sisters with Kelly
Ответить
