I’m lucky enough to lose 50/50 (on Ruan Mei’s banner) to Himeko, just when Pure Fiction was released.

The only exception being Herta i didnt build cause all my resources went into the 5stars but having a super invested Himeko at the ready for this was a great feeling.

I didn't build Herta.
I just pre-farmed Jingliu's ice set before she was released and later decided to get the quantum set for her.
So I got Herta built for free :joy:

It says pure fiction 1 is locked cuz i need to finish prerequisite stages first, idk what that means

I can not appreciate enough how consistent seele has been since day 1. Best single target currently(until dr.ratio comes) plus the only hunt character who can consistently clear PF with 4000 point. Soon enough mono quantum is gonna be a thing. She is just really consistent.

I built Herta before Pure Fiction made people actually want o build her. Before pure fiction, she was already top tier destroyer vs. world 7's deer boss with Rememberance. They all actually had their place in the games content, but it wasn't Moc *often enough*. There have been many MOC Turbulance buffs that inderectly buffed the abilities of some Erudition characters, such as the 'acts consecutive' damage bonus. Bet many didn't realize that was most utilized by Quigque 😊 mah gurl.

And I think you've made the killer observation multiple times: Many non-erudition characters work here the same way. The one unifier of Erudition characters is their ultimates hit all enemies. But, there are other paths with characters whose ults can hit all enemies: Kafka, Sanpo, Fu Xuan, Luocha, and Pela. Plus, destruction that can hit at least 3 enemies with their ults can still be productive.

I think it's going to need to be more than just ultimates, or it's going to get boring real fast if it hasnt for you already.

Yo as a new player do i want to focus on pure fiction characters first or moc to optimize my gains

I hate how strong they make destruction character. They do everything.

Hunt class is so overrated. Just use destruction, erudition and nihility to do damage. Single target damage has no use in the game.

i played Pure Fiction on auto with my usual units and it got me 9 out of 12 stars, which is perfectly fine. but maybe building some units i usually wouldn't use (a lot) could make it 12 out of 12.

I love her <3 For a launch unit, her longevity has been incredible. Every time I hear anyone say anything about Seele getting "powercrept", I look at them with pity and smile.

the funniest thing about Pure Fiction is how a AOE based mode pushed Seele to the top again

Other than the characters you mentioned, I find crit Kafka also works when you don't have JY or have built Serval.
I have a maxed out Kafka already and only level 50 Serval + no Jing Yuan. The choice was obvious to me.
Of course being a HI3 Captain, my Himeko is built since day one.
