I’m contemplating taking 3 months off and traveling Europe via train with that being said would you recommend doing the 3 month pass? If I do this I have no set plans I’d just go for it and see where the path takes me
I’d appreciate any advice on this
Hopefully you find your husband if your straight that is, good luck
ОтветитьThank you, Laura.
Ответитьwhen you say 5 day on month pass, what does "month" mean? Is that 30 days from when you start even if it goes into a different month?
ОтветитьHi Laura, just want to check i am planning to travel from Amsterdam, Switzerland, Paris and then Germany what dot you suggest do i need to buy eurorail pass ? Pleaee reply
ОтветитьThank you for your honest review. This is really helpful.
ОтветитьI'm flying in and out of London from NYC, and then I'll be all over the place--Brussels, Amsterdam, Berlin, Zurich, Milan, maybe Barcelona and Lisbon, but I'm also looking to stop in multiple small German cities in the Dortmund area, where each city is about 20 minutes apart and I can see a few in one day. Mostly I'm going for transit photography and to eat at as many international McDonald's as I can lol. I'm really thinking that this pass could be worth it for me just based on the quantity of trains I'm looking to ride. It's just a matter of how long I'll be in Europe, and how many days I spend on each side of the trip in London that shouldn't count as travel days, so maybe I get 22 days and then spend 2-3 days in London on each side and that's a four week trip.
Ответитьvery much helpful for us,as we are going to Eurotrip tomorrow...
Thanks a lot
I'm sorry Laura, but it just seems too complicated.
ОтветитьHi Laura I will be travelling from Paris to London and from London to Amsterdam and return to Paris. I am 75 years old I have one luggage and one carryon is there a porter to carry my luggage to and from the Eurorails?
ОтветитьCan we use the eurorail pass in Germany and England?😊
ОтветитьIs there a way to choose your seats? I find you have to reserve but they're assigning my seats. I want to pick my seats.
ОтветитьDoes Eurail pass covers buses and trams in Italy ?
ОтветитьYou're gave me an amazing tips!🎉thankyou sm!!
ОтветитьJust got back from a tour of Europe. I tried to use the Eurail pass but it never worked! I could never get the tickets to download. It sucked! I could not get a hold of a customer service representative because the company does not list a contact number. They also do not have agents at the train stations to help solve the issues. It got so stressful, that we had to buy physical tickets at the ticket counters for each country we traveled to. I would never use this Eurail Pass again. Still trying to get my money back!
ОтветитьI don’t understand why people travel there with like 50 dls lol travel on a budget is not 50 dls a day 😂
ОтветитьIf you aren’t European, you can’t travel in train without it
ОтветитьIt would be so nice if you could give time to travel from major cities to major cities too and costs associated with it. However the video is helpful
ОтветитьFl*xbus has the worst service. Better to avoid if you can affort something else.
ОтветитьThe railplanner can find connection without seat reservation. Just tested and found Paris - Lyon 6 hr's without seat reservation.
ОтветитьYou are optimistically beautiful, great info !! ❤
ОтветитьThanks for such a great video and your honest opinion. I am looking for videos like this because the ER Rail has changed, I used it back in 2013, when you use to get a booklet, had to choose in advance the countries you would travel too, and everything needed to be filled out with a pen LOL
Having that experience, I choose to buy the EU rail pass only for expensive train rides with modern fast speed trains, such as Austria, Germany, France, or Italy. In 2013 I did catch a bus from Vienna to Bratislava, which was super comfortable, and it only costed 6 euros at the time. I think it now costs 10 euros, which is also very cheap.
Can u clarify smth, what if I have a eurail pass but the reservation for this train is not available? sold out? Or since I have a pass there is guarantee I'm getting on this train? Also how do I know if the train need a reservation or not?
ОтветитьThank you very much ❤️❤️
ОтветитьHow would you print out the ticket?
ОтветитьHi Laura! I know that rail passes are extremely popular, but they are definitely not cheap, especially if you are on a budget .I will reveal tips and tricks to you. From my experience, traveling by train is significantly cheaper if you don't take Rail passes. If you take a Rail pass for it, it will cost you a lot of money, several hundred euros for each Rail pass, and you must also buy and pay extra for each reservation for every train marked IC, EC, NC, NJ and similar. The only advantage of the rail pass is mobility. Since I plan my trips several months in advance, I prefer to give up that mobility and save money, I take individual fixed train tickets for seat second class with reservation for each train, which are much cheaper. Of course you have to buy them several months (3 or 4 for my exprience) in advance, because as the date approaches, the occupancy of the train increases and the price of the ticket increases. Another little trick is to plan travel on weekdays from Monday to Thursday, because tickets for train those days are often much cheaper than on Friday and weekends When added up, you will save a minimum of 100 euros probably even more. This is significant if you are on a budget.
ОтветитьI will never buy Eurail pass again. Because:
1. You cannot select seats if you use their pass. System will randomly allocate seats. Four of us were allocated in different places.
2. If you buy pass from them the actual rail companies will deny to help you.
3. Their refund policy is not customer friendly. All most 100% sure, No Refund.
4. No phone no. to discuss your problems.
5. For any issue, their standard response " we are just intermediary, cannot help you. We have no control over rail companies". It's actually in their web page.
6. If you plan ahead you can get much better service form the rail companies directly almost at the same price.
7. Eurail pass eventually costs more or same because in most important routes you will have to pay for seat reservation additionally.
Can you take local trains on the pass?
ОтветитьHow to select seats in Eurails during seat reservation?
ОтветитьHI AND THANKS FOR THE INFO..PLEASE SUGGEST ME...we are a family of 4, 2 adults 2 kids, we will arrive to Brussels and from there we plan to go to Paris Brugge and Amsterdam is it worth the Eurail pass ? I am asking because right now Brussels to Paris is very expensive so I was wondering if the pass wil be more convenient, we are going next month
ОтветитьHey, Thanks for the video.
I like to ask one question and if you can suggest honestly, that would be great. If our travel plan is to visit the following countries:
Arriving in Frankfurt, Germany, and staying 1-3 days in each country depends on the places to visit.
Germany | Prague, Czech Republic | Austria (Optional), | Switzerland | Italy (max 1-3 cities per country)
Would be great to buy Euro Rail passes considering the transport budget of AUD 500 for each person and train travel preference overflight?
I bought the one country pass and i don't know what to do. I'm in germany but bought for france, how do i leave germany with the pass
ОтветитьGreat eye opener advice Laura and more to ponder as we make our Europe It's always a good challenge to get the best bang for our buck.. Our Canadian dollar again is different value. Really do appreciate all your info, took a few real good notes. Happy trails.!
Ответитьshort, simple an effective, great work.
ОтветитьThank you!
ОтветитьOMG Laura, oh I am in love with you, especially your videos yes i love please take this as a compliment.. 8 to 9 minutes sometimes 10 or 12 minutes all those other big windbags on travel channels are too insanely long.. i can't afford 30,40 minutes out of my life i wanted to see something and you kept it interesting and moving along in a forward direction, so thank you thank you I am addicted to all of your videos and liked them and subscribe and I finally got a chance to comment sorry it's on this one your others of course are much more Colorful because of the touring but this one was good because I was trying to figure it out and you made it succinct and easy anyway thanks again here I go I gotta practice not being long winded, lol Cheers XOX....
ОтветитьIf I need to book individual tickets, do I go through each company website or through the planner app?
Thank you
Great video. I’ve been travelling Europe by train for several years and have always found booking individual trains cheaper than getting an interail pass. But then I tend to book a couple of months in advance when the train tickets are cheap, and I have a set itinerary. Maybe I need to be more spontaneous and do an interail trip instead and see where the train takes me 😂
ОтветитьGreat work Laura!
ОтветитьI've thought about doing this as a budget way to see Europes most expensive destinations, and then just sleeping on the train haha.
ОтветитьGreat video ☺️...
I want to talk to you very important... But how to contact Laura Bronner
Great video, Laura. When we lived in Paris, we used the Flix Bus service for all destinations in neighboring countries, unusually at a cost €25 - €30. It was awesome. We did also take a Flix Bus from Barcelona to Paris when we couldn’t get a flight. That was a bit long for a bus ride.
ОтветитьWe recently bought two interrail (eurail) passes. Thanks for sharing your tips and experiences! It's a great help for planning our trip 😄
ОтветитьHola Laura! En tú personal opinión que recomendarías visitar. Barcelona o Paris? Sería mi primer visita a Europa. Gracias
ОтветитьThis is so interesting! We inter railed years ago when it was a paper ticket!!! So good to see the app is good and how they now break down travel days. Good to consider the buses too! Great work 🍻
