“The Mess” really got to me. The way the chef put him down, you can tell it was overtime that he was coerced into committing suicide. That was extreme for me. Kept me up at night. Wish I didn’t watch it. Im here cause I couldn’t finish the movie and I had to know how it ends. Thanks! I like the concept, the acting is incredible. This movie is a nightmare.
ОтветитьNo substitute at Hawthorne 👉👉👉
ОтветитьShe wasn't his girlfriend
ОтветитьI came to watch a breakdown video because Tyler's character really fit the description of movie breakdown channels like this one or Dead Meat, especially when the chef told Tyler he stripped his art of mystery or something along those lines. And how Tyler knew everything about food but couldn't actually cook. So I'm glad I wasn't the only one to notice that
ОтветитьJust watched The Menu last night. And I'm seriously going out and buying stuff for a cheeseburger today.
ОтветитьI like how even liebrants wife acknowledged margot should leave them, and even thanks the chef for her death
ОтветитьI swear I'm the only person being honest in my dislike for this movie, as everyone else is more than happy to rave about it without actually thinking about how terrible Chef Voldemort is as a person himself or how judgemental and insane he and his entire crew are 😅
My biggest complaint is that Margot did nothing help save at least Felicity. Just because she didn't have student loans or scholarships? We don't know her backstory. Maybe her parents and grandparents were immigrants that worked their whole lives, saving every penny they could in the hopes someone in the family gets to go to college. And she's the first one in the family to get to do so. We don't actually know because her backstory doesn't matter simply because she didn't have student loans. And yes, she appears successful. But she's still at the mercy of John's character, as he's not paying her enough despite her efforts to keep him employed and working. She's literally the epitome of "so close and yet so far", much like how many marginalized people will be so close to attaining any actual level of privilege but still fall short. But simply because they're standing closer to that glass ceiling than other marginalized people, they're maligned moreso than the people with actual priviliege because it's just easier to eat ourselves than it is to eat the rich. She's not even nitpicking the food or overtly raving about it. She can't enjoy it because she's distracted by her desperation to keep herself and John's character afloat. How many of us in the real world can't stop to enjoy things because we need to focus on working in order to stay afloat? Felicity was an innocent. And she is doomed to die simply because she APPEARS to be privileged, despite the glaring evidence that she's clearly not...
I really hate this movie for the sweeping judgements it makes and the unnecessary permission it gives the audience to see the worst in anyone who only appears to have privilege. It's just more of the "us vs them" mentality. Money makes people evil, regardless of whether they have it or not. The haves are evil for not sharing. The have nots are evil for letting themselves be distracted by the slightest whiff of riches on others and attacking them instead of the real haves
I didnt like it. I won't watch it again.
Albeit... I do absolutely dig what the films about and it will stick with me.
He looks like the real version of the critic in ratatouille 😮
ОтветитьNicely explained well done.
Ответитьthis is a not a real explanation, its a summary of a movie with some obvious statements about the plot. If you want a deep analysis of this movie, dont watch this video, its a waste of time.
ОтветитьVery good movie. They chose specifically to incorporate all genres in this movie while still adding a tad bit of intellectualism, yet not making it full on SJW. Long live Chef.
ОтветитьTyler represents the nerds who complain incessantly about rings of power and Witcher on the tube.
ОтветитьShe wasn't his girlfriend, she was his whore.
ОтветитьI just watched this today and this was way better than I would have expected. The trailer did not grab me but heard some stuff and figured, why not. Very good movie. Worth another watch.
ОтветитьThe most missed insight is Margots plan at the end came from her professional line of work, most s3x workers will tell you people who are in high positions of power such as the chef very much enjoy to be dominated or "ruled" as it gives them relief from their day to day practices of being dominating to others. I believe she did this with the commanding clap and more or less ordering chef around
Ответитьi feel bad for the assistant. she seemed sweet
ОтветитьI found it neither funny nor sharp. It was too disjointed and the finale turned out to be pandering to his sensibility and hers as well. I normally enjoy movies that don't bare and lay out all the information, but this one was not cohesive story telling just relies on shock factor.
Ответитьmovie sucked. it was a bullshit movie
ОтветитьOne of my all time fav movies I've watched multiple times. Outstanding casting, script, images and 'comedy'.
ОтветитьI m here after watching that movie😆😁😅
Ответитьyou didn't explain anything, just talked about the synopsis of the movie wtf. such an useless video
ОтветитьI found that 3-star restaurants don't have the best food. It is usually a great experience, great service, and so on, but the best food is found at 1-star restaurants. No matter how nice it is, a 3-star cost around 400-1000 dollars, it is not really worth it, all though, worth doing once or twice if you love such experiences.
ОтветитьWoah... That was a 1 minute lazy explanation
ОтветитьYhey were definitely on some cult shit
ОтветитьAnna looks anorexic just saying 🙏
ОтветитьWhat Tyler did was f 'd up
ОтветитьI didn't luck the movie much I'm here to see what I may didn't understand that u can explain
ОтветитьConfused why he killed the entire staff too and they were complicit
ОтветитьI am confused still on how tyler knew they were gonna die
ОтветитьBro that's laser engraved and not 3D printed tortillas😭
ОтветитьWhy did nobody fight back? Why did he hang himself? Nothing makes sense.
ОтветитьDid Margot die though?
ОтветитьI loved this movie except for the smores ending.
ОтветитьMargot/Erin is not Tyler's gf, nor is she invited to the Menu. She was not supposed to be there in the 1st place as it was a last minute change decided by Tyler, not the restaurant
Ответитьterrible movie.
ОтветитьI was so enthralled! Really held my attention. Tense the whole way through. And the little moments of comedy; chef's kiss 🤌
ОтветитьHell's Kitchen with today's guest chef: Voldemort
ОтветитьFun fact. Anya is a vegan. I wonder if she went method on that burger 🍔 at the end, or was it a tofu stand - in? Secondly, how far did she have to swim when the boat ran out of gas ⛽ 😮
ОтветитьReally ppl that's a comedy for you, it was Saw IV at best. Disturbing and confusing 3/10
ОтветитьThat burger scene made me cry because at that point I knew what was up.
ОтветитьWTF is "Jeered"??
ОтветитьAn add-on to my earlier points of Christianity/America's fall...Julian's VOLUNTARY demasculation
ОтветитьOnce again, an elaborate breakdown that completely misses the actual mark.
1) Epstein Island?
2) Friday the 13th plot structure where the outcast female always defeats and escapes the demon's wrath.
3) The battle between Christianity (Julian/God) vs New Age ideology (Margo/Phoenix).
4) the standard cheeseburger play last seen after Tony Stark's death and passed along to daughter Morgan.
5) Pride before the fall...America, adios!
Try again pal.
Thank You so much now i understand the movie🐼🥰🐼🥰🐼
ОтветитьDull , dull , dull. I would of write this script with more twists and turns and definitely more comedy. This had the ability to be good but fell flat.
ОтветитьAnother movie where Anya Taylor gains compassion from the villain/monster
ОтветитьLowkey, 1200 is not that much for the level of dinner lol.
ОтветитьAnyone who is a true culinary of the arts or who has or presently works in a very busy non stop pace eloquent fine dining restaurant will/could appreciate this delicacy of a film. As you will probably already see the resemblance and symbolism seen, you can already relate it to the type of business, work, and yourselves that your personally quite familiar with already. A few other things I’ll place in the Gift Bag though is a list of the 7 Deadly Sins (there were at least 6 tables in the room, with people around them that portrayed these sins that they were about to be punished for), also the personal touching picture that was in her fathers (The Chef) office, Margot the baby, and her father (The Chef), and my oh my did her mother not resemble her SO MUCH!? Did you also catch the quite vivid resemblance of Margot and her mother in the picture. Daddy (The Chef) knew very well his little girl just loved his cheeseburgers, did you notice the tender look he exchanged with her after she took a bite and complimented how great it was, and the focus of the eyes and smiling before she left, and at the very moment she told him she was leaving. Also, did you notice the guy who brought her as a guest never left her side when all the other men were given 45 seconds to run. I believe there was more meaning to that, maybe he knew exactly who he was bringing as a date to this very special occasional Menu event, the Chefs daughter. He did always want favor with the chef, he did always desire the chef’s admiration and acceptance, but we never knew what the chef had whispered to him in his ear before he hung himself. Many a times the Chef made mention to his daughter (Margot) that she was not one of them, the guests (his murder list), he always told her, you are one of us, not them. Now of course with her being a whore, I say this because he also called himself to be like a whore towards the very end. Did he also feel or think the same towards her mother, his deceased or divorced wife, is this what the daughter also became as well? He also during their second one on one private chat complimented her in how she understood “service”. Good service means everything to the client, customer….she understood with her line of work, ?escort?prostitute?, she knew all about how important it was to give good service, but so did the chef. Notice the fifth and last course of the evening he highlighted the essence and importance of Fire, his daughter (Margot) had red fire hair, and as we saw the building explode into flames at the very end I thought it was interesting that you could see the reflection of “the fire in her eyes” as well, might not mean anything though, maybe. Also one more thing, we never knew what was in his daughters Gift Bag, the Chef was the one who brought it personally to her, his daughter, unlike everyone else’s Gift Bags were delivered by the servers, the chef announced to those left behind what was in their bags, but, what was in her bag? The same thing that was in theirs, maybe, or was there more to be told later?
