As a Covenant goes way more deep in to the whole story of the engineers, humans and way far faster developing plastic can AI like David....David did wipe engineers? NO, David wiped out a engineers creation, well one of them, as the engineers have many worlds- planets that they did experiments of this type. Why did engineers do that? did engineers lost some haw there original world to some kind of a disaster? they lost there home planet? and now are looking to find a new one, new one but at the same time keep it the way original plan of existence was, maybe engineers were stuck in the old ways and did have some bad experiences regarding of making changes to there life style, so they wanted reseeds them self in a perfect old ways and I guess the "humans" did turn out to not be "it" but did turn out to experiment gone bad, and that is why the original engineers military unit was going to Earth to simply start the end to it, and maybe in some time after the planet would be clean out from any form of old experiment, the engineers will be sent back to try again. Scot knows best as this is partially his creation in his head. ha ha ha. TH

Whats interesting is the Predators actually sort of do what the Engineers did.
They use humans to breed Xenomorphs. But instead of cultivating, they hunt.
If it gets too out of control, they wipe out everything and essentially start over.

Deacon, whatever the spelling is, was a supreme being worshipped by engineers. One, eldest engineer sacrificed himself to grow deacon from himself like face hugger etc. Deacon's blood was pure and engineers later would drink that up and sacrifice themselves to create new species just like it was show in the opening scene. That's how they created humans.

When the blood of deacon was over, they lost powers of creation and perhaps also recreation of their own type. In desperation, they bio engineered this evil black goo, a hostile virulent stuff which messed up with a host's DNA to create an evil new species, like xenomorphs. I feel like original xenomorphs are a different species than what David created. But, my knowledge is very limited about all this.

After his terrific Alien movie Ridley Scott simply had no inspiration left in him so he decided to ripp of the Bible, and so the duds Prometheus and Covenant were born. What a shame.😑

Looking back at Prometheus and why we had the Elders scene cut (RS did not want to meet God in the first movie). And how he said that those Engineers are not Gods. Then looking at the Planet 4 Engineers and how RS revered them as the Original Engineers who live about 150 Years... we see they are more Human looking and have Females (and Nipples from Davids Notes/Drawings).. Then RS saying that A.I does not have to be none Organic and the Replicants from Blade Runner are a A.I too. When looking at the Prometheus Engineers and their like Synthetic looking Skin and No Nipples (Sacrificial Engineer). It seems like RS is looking at the Prometheus Engineers to be a Militarized Artificially Enhanced Super Engineers like Replicants are to Humans.

Regarding the Video, yes Alien and the aftermath it was the Idea that the Xenomorph was a form of Biological Warfare.. in some unnamed Conflict.... but dropping the Eggs is a Bit Silly. Surely the Face Huggers can't survive being dropped from too Great a Height. With Prometheus then the Ships role as Dropping Urns of a Genetically Altering Pathogen makes more sense. Regarding where we was by the end of AC... we are 17 odd years to ALIEN. RS had indicated we are 2-3 Movies away from ALIEN. And that Davids Xenomorph has some evolving to do before we get to ALIEN and also the one in Alien seemed more Biomechanical for a reason which we would eventually discover WHY. But alas we will not have a Conclusion

So how do you explain xenomorphs in 1904 and 2004 in Alien V Predator?

Despite the massive criticism this movie has reveived, I like it because it shows an interesting interaction with intelligent aliens. David was imo a fantastic character. The weak point of this movie are characters behaving irrationally.

I don't know about David being the creator of the original Xenomorphs, I think he's the creator of a different breed of Xenomorphs and used the (OG)Xenomorphs as a template, which led him to create those that are more organic in nature than biomechanical, completing the circle as it were. Humans create the androids, bio9mechanical in nature, David creates life, organic in nature.

My interpretation was it’s because we invented synthetic life. AI. And that Engineers have always known the dangers of AI and threat to their (and all) existence. And they think of themselves as better because their dabbling in creation is “real” “biological”.

His visceral reaction to David and the crew, and haste in traveling to Earth to destroy it is b/c of AI. But also, another layer is because of the ENG being our creator. Much like humans look at synthetic life as “not real” just simply a machine that can be tossed aside with no “soul”…so the Eng likely sees humanity and/or any of their creations. Especially if they deem that creation as posing a danger to life. Which they seem very keen to create/propagate/cultivate

As much as everyone is hating on covenant, it did something so incredibly important to all the franchise. It revealed that “Alien” franchise has ALWAYS been about AI, not the Xenomorphs. And the real danger to humanity and all life is AI. The perfect lethal organism of the xenomorph…was birthed from AI.

This theory adds another layer of interest with the idea that Engineers think themselves better at their “creation” vs our synthetic version. But that both created equally flawed beings and have a skewed sense of the nature of “what is life”…that both humans/eng think they have some authority over their creation..are a higher life form and therefore no ethical boundary in making subservient and not considering it life

I and four of my friends watched the movie Prometheus in the movie theater When the movie was over we went to a coffee shop and started talking about the movie. I didn't understand the movie at all and I was sitting quietly but my friends were talking about the greatness of the movie and their own understanding. They talked about it, they said how great Ridley Scott makes it and how well he made the Prometheus, I felt ashamed of the words I heard because I couldn't understand anything about that movie like they did, but my curiosity made me ask many questions, I wanted to be able to add a little to my knowledge from the sixteen dollars I paid for the IMAX ticket.
But after half an hour of discussion, I realized that they don't know anything better or more about that movie than I do, and later after a little thought I came to the conclusion that five percent of the people have a little understanding of Ridley Scott's Prometheus Or They have an understanding of it the rest just pretend to understand something, but since the work is related to a famous director like Ridley Scott, they just pretend to know and understand the film.
If the film was made by an unknown director they would criticize him and put his work under many questions.
A dynamic cinema should make the audience think and not pump up their curiosity in a distracted way.

Although the younger engineers are super fine… I’d get myself an old decrepit one to marry that has accrued some earned clout so the rest of the community wont kill my ass, just because. Just being honest.

I’m just confused lol if David created the xenomorphs how did the first alien movies happen? We still had weapons from Vietnam and definitely weren’t able to create androids yet. Alien Vs predator doesn’t seem like they’d have androids either😂😂

It doesn't always have to be a different timeline or universes... The Engineers created the black goo, but what if the Predators got a hold of a can and start introducing it to other species for the xenomorph results, much like David did, and came to Earth like it was seen in Alien vs Predator. And we already know that the black goo is apart of the human genome, so the face hugger impregnates a human and the xenomorph develops into the perfect killing organism that the predators like to hunt, that's why they keep coming back to earth every 100 years

I think engineers looks like this. In real life should cost a lot to make Engineer look like one first Alien Movies. So, they go with simply idea really muscular tall guy, other thing they knew the Engineers not going to be a lot of scenes, so they do not want use budget in more CGI or practical effects for the Engineer.

So after 4,5 billion of evolution on Earth the dna from the engineers planted on primordial earth became exactly the same as the engineers???? What? Including all the endless random variations, switched off genes and so on??? Bollocks! Perhaps the general structure of the DNA could be closer to that of the engineers … but the same??? Nope! What about pigs then? Are they not close to the engineers too? Perhaps the engineers wanted to create pigs for food. Sorry this is as absurd a script as the entire movies of Prometheus and covenant are. Terrible lazy screenwriting.

A couple of videos stated the Engineers had a life span of 100,000 years, unless I heard it wrong

I kept hoping for the third film, but the new Alien film just wrapped and concluded filming about 3 days ago. I think it has nothing to do with these 2 films.

I have waited so long when they but predators and engineers in the same movie. What is their story and relationship of all this...

These movies open up so much lore I need like 6 more movies or even better 3 seasons of show souls be great, I know I’m not the only one searching the web for any and all I have on the multiple questions

A question occurs to me, why were the engineers so warlike? Species don't just choose to create giant soldiers, and constantly research biological weapons for no reason, so who were their competition? What species were they so concerned with fighting against?

It leads me to think that humans didn't fall out of favor with the engineers, but more likely a rival faction of engineers were seeking to destroy the creations of another group, possibly out of fear that we were created as weapons. We were created by engineer group A for unknown reasons, engineer group B, their enemies, found out about us and sent a ship to wipe us out.

Would definitely explain some things, primarily why they would destroy their own creation that they abandoned, and why they keep making biological weapons. Think about it this way, the series suggests that the most advanced form of the xenomorphs in the franchise is a combination of humans and the black goop, which may be why we were created in the first place.

After finding the same depictions of stars over and over again across the planet, it's only when they find they find the ones in 'Europe' that they finally consider them legitimate, lol. The earliest people in the sub-continent of 'Europe' arrived there around 54,000 years ago. Around 9000 years ago light skinned settlers from the Middle East settled Europe, bring with them agriculture and livestock. In the roughtly 45,000 years where the various 'European' groups had 'Europe' all to themselves they had literally zero meaningful technological advancements or achievements.
