I'm india from
ОтветитьI'm doing BSL 1 and I'm finding it hard going. This is the most helpful channel out there and beats the ones I've paid to subscribe to. It really is excellent. Thank you.
ОтветитьTo say 'I can', would I use the sign for 'me' and then the sign for 'can'? Thank you for the amazing videos!!
ОтветитьLove your vids! Im learning the basics and you have the clearest explanations/descriptions!
ОтветитьDoes it matter much if you sign with your left or right hand?
Ответитьi’m learning BSL because my mum is deaf so this is so much help
Ответить👍👍
Ответитьi really want to learn BSL but i have ADHD and i really struggle to sit through long videos so i’m trying my best to actually sit and watch this
but i will end up learning it somehow! i don’t know anyone who is deaf but i just think i might as well learn BSL because i’m going to come cross someone that speaks it at least once so anyway if your trying to learn like me just don’t give up because i’m sure you will need it!
Thanks for this! I'm Deaf native ASL (US) and I'm going to a workshop in the UK and possibly grad school so trying to become fluent in BSL so my interpreter isn't super confused 😂 i find it really funny that we sign "whore" for "everything" (in BSL) and our "stop" is your "sure" 😆
Ответитьhow do you know so much ???
ОтветитьVery helpful, thanks❤
ОтветитьI've been a job for 3 or 4 years now where I occasionally find myself having to interact with hearing impaired people. Those people usually have someone to help ineterpate for us.
But I think it would be much better if I could interact with people directly, more professional, better manners of me, to do so.
So in a bid to be better at my job I have taken it upon myself to learn BSL.
Your videos are extremly helpful, thank you.
Just need to learn how to string it all together to make for proper conversation. That will come with time and practive though.
😀

ОтветитьThanks for this! Wondering if in sign, you'd use the same "must" sign in these different contexts...
like for example: "he must go to the shop" (because he's required to) and "he must be here" (because we know it to be the case)
I've been learning BSL at college and these are totally different signs to what we've learnt!?
ОтветитьHello Dan we love you're videos, I'm doing level 1 and need to learn seasons and weather, do you have a vid on it? we couldn't find any, my tutor was looking too. if not can you make a vid please. Thank you
ОтветитьI loved it... this is amazing you taught so many signs. I wanted to learn and learn again. I will practice a lot. thank you so much for your super helpful !! =)
ОтветитьDan, should I use the lip pattern for all the words or just when the sign can mean different things?
ОтветитьAfter a laryngectomy, I can speak but it is a bit stressy. So I have been miming a lot, and writing.
This shows me how to do it; much is I think pretty understandable at first look.
I just have to practice. Many thanks.
So appreciative of your videos 🥰 thank you so much for sharing them!
ОтветитьI think i am managing to put some sentences together with these words, thank you!
ОтветитьI really find your video clips helpful for I did BSL level 1 ages ago and need to practice daily as to prepare for level 2. Thx Dan
ОтветитьI’ve wanted to learn BSL for ages, but what finally pushed be to start is a guy that goes to puppy training classes with me. He’s deaf and really struggled to understand the instructions given to him since no one there knows BSL. So I’m trying to learn a few basic things first to try and help him however I can. Hopefully one day I’ll be fluent enough to interpret for him to help him train his assistance dog.
ОтветитьThank you very. much.
ОтветитьWhat I find difficult about BSL is the way that some words, such as "know" has a different sign to its own negative, e.g. "don't know" whereas in a spoken language the negation would be usually caused by some other word (e.g. "je sais" / "je NE sais PAS" in French). These videos are great, though. I'm addicted!
ОтветитьHi 👋 I’m Honey Holland and l would like to know why do you do BSL?👋
ОтветитьThank and God bless you.
ОтветитьLoved these…Thank you 👍👏🤗
ОтветитьIve just started learning BSL and I'm shocked at how much I've subconsciously remembered from nursery school, and watching CBeebies as a child haha
ОтветитьAs a Brit living in Australia learning Auslan, I always like to check for similarities and differences these videos are super helpful :)
ОтветитьWow I talk with my hands , and I've just realised this is universal 🔥❤❤❤❤❤❤
ОтветитьDoes it matter what hand you make the signs with. I think I’m doing it backwards 🤔
ОтветитьThank you loving the videos. Watch every day.
ОтветитьSo the same movement can mean more than one thing. And different movements can mean the same thing
ОтветитьReally useful. Is there a video with signs about the weather please? After all British people do like to discuss the weather.
ОтветитьI’m Lurning Sound Language at the moment. So This is Brilliant for me to watch and Lurn
ОтветитьBrilliant, thank you. Isolating at the moment, been meaning to learn some sign language to help with deaf customers at work. No time like the present
ОтветитьYou dont make the signs completed at all have you got one that like couples say to eachother my partner is deaf
ОтветитьSome excellent new signs, thank you
Ответитьdoes the hand matter? cause i do it with right...
Ответитьmay i ask a question? are you deaf sir? it's just a question.. or are you just teaching?
