How To Clone NVMe SSD to NEW or LARGER NVMe SSD (Easy Step By Step Tutorial)

Thank you for this video. I am trying to clone my Dell Optiplex 7010 W10pro 2tb internal SSD to USB 2tb NVME drive using the Macrium Free software that you linked to. The cloning process completes without error (even though it took 19 hours). All the files seem to have been copied over. However, the clone (NVME) will not boot. I get an error message at boot time that says there is no hard drive to boot from, even though I went into the BIOS to set the boot sequence to USB first and disconnected the internal SSD. I aslo tried this using Parition Wizard 10.0 as well as DiskGenius, with the same non-functioning boot. Can you suggest what the problem might be? Very frustrating!

heyy i followed your guised ans it was simple but after i installed the new ssd it booted up and i tried downloading something and it was super slow at 10kb and then went to 0 and it cant download anything i put in the old one and it was perfect any ideas why?

New SSD install was successful BUT now programs will open as administrator. Disk Manager wouldn't even open after install. Programs like outlook freeze when I try to download pdf attachments. Please help.

Can i do this process by using my pendrive instead of getting an enclosure?

I followed the steps but I have 2 nvme slots. I left the existing 512gb nvme in its slot and added the bigger in 2tb nvme in the other slot. After successful cloning , I restarted the laptop and changed priority of BIOS boot drive and it started fine. Then I wiped the original 512gb nvme. Now when i restart I get a 0xc000000e error saying there is a missing device. I've managed to get command window and disk part does not list any of the 2 nvme's attached. What can I do?

Its projected to take 8 hours as i have 414574 MB to transfer. Any way i can speed this up, im using a usb to usbc cable. What slot should the cable go

If your computer has a SD slot couldn't clone yours to it the SD and put in the 2 tb in your Laptop and clone it back ???

My cloning process stalled out on "Operation 3 of 4" "Checking file system" "Performing full copy" "\\?\GLOBALROOT\Device\HarddiskVolumesShadowCopy11". It shows "Overall Progress" at 0% and "Current Progress" at 99% even though both bars are black, not green, indicating that "Current Progress" must also be at 0%. Any advice?

Do I need to just make sure Device Encryption is turned OFF or do I need to wait until the Decryption process completes? Assuming the latter.

When going into Disk Management, it does not prompt me to initialize. The drive is displayed as Disk 1 Removable. Windows explorer recognizes D but says D:\ is not accessible, incorrect function. M Reflect doesn't recognize the new SSD either. In device manager it shows the new Disk Drive as "Realtek RTL9210B-CG USB" I am using brand new SN570 NVMe SSD. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Love your vids!

Any suggestions for dual boot Windows 10/Ubuntu NVME from a 500GB to a 2TB?

So, I am in the process of upgrading my Dell Inspiron 5502 laptop, and I disabled Device Encryption as mentioned in the video. (settings/update&security/Device Encryption) However, the "decrypting" process is apparently a long process (like at least all day). My Laptop is running super hot decrypting. EDIT: ok, turns out it didn't take all day to decrypt, but maybe 1 or 2 hours for a 512 gB ssd. Not sure exactly, because I left for 2 hours letting the laptop do it's thing.
ALSO.....IMPORTANT.... everyone should run SFC /SCANNOW before the cloning process, just to find and fix any disk errors before cloning those errors. I ran the scan and it found/fixed an error.

I followed this tutorial to upgrade an All in One i just bought from a pawnshop but the cloning process didnt go so well, when i put upgraded ssd in the pc and tried booting it self restarted a number if times and failed to boot. So i ended up having to just reinstall windows which wasnt really that big a deal since i recently git the pc but that was just my trial run befor attemting to clons mybssd in my laptop which made me very nurvous since i do not want to have to reinstall windows on my laptop.
I fallowed the tutorial to the letter and when the cloning process was finished i noticed the the new SSD still has a large unallocated partition. I did select "delete partition" as explained in the tutorial so i CMD/disk part/ sel disk 1 / clean and started the cloning process again.

Update, well I'm having the same issue. It's still having the unallocated partition on the new SSD after cloning. Any help?

In my case it failed, once cloned perfectly without errors(took 2hours , I only got 30mb/s I don't know why ( model ORICOTXM2M I have USB 3.2 Gen1 and WD SN750) , once installed on the PC I got a Windows missing files msg at startup ERROR 0xc00000e , actually before the startup .. I will do the process again.
EDIT: solved formating one of the units that is on FAT32 , then it started ok.
