ОтветитьAre you back to grooming? I thought you gave it up. Anyways, good to see you back!
ОтветитьThat is the most ridiculous and sad thing thing I've ever seen. Whoever "owned" her shouldn't.
ОтветитьIt's not the breed I've had multiple chow chows and all of them were friendly they have to socialized like from day 1 they are one person dogs it's not the breed it's how their raised that's like saying every pitbull is a fighter nope it's how their raised and if you're nervous the dogs can sense that and it will make them nervous try a peppermint or gum to hide that because it comes out in your breath
ОтветитьThey couldn't even properly care for this poor dog to the point that she's filthy, matted, and unspayed. Now, will they take care of their new baby any better?? I'm speechless...
ОтветитьShe acts sedated to me. She is a beautiful dog and I'm sure she feels so much better.
ОтветитьThat dogs grooming needs have been so badly neglected that I couldn’t even tell it was a Chow x x
ОтветитьI worked for a veterinarian. One day a chow came in the clinic for treatment. He bit the doctor’s hand leaving a long gash across his palm. The doc sutured his hand shut himself! When one works with animals you learn what breeds are problematic and not to be trusted.
ОтветитьThey are not aggressive. If trained properly they can be great pets.
ОтветитьI'm in month 5 of owning my 3rd chow. 2, including this one, have been rescues. I have a very knowledgeable and experienced groomer who says to the dog "listen Mr, I am the queen and this is my castle. What I say is what goes here!" And they fall in line and do as she says. However, after a bad grooming experience at a major pet store chain, I only go to low stimulus environments where I can sit with the dog for the whole grooming session. I find this keeps my chow calm and relaxed and focused.
I love my chowdren and treasure each day with them.
Poor baby , so neglected if they let her get like this before the baby was born what will she get to be like now they have the baby . She is so lovely as they should rehome her with someone who will love her and see to her needs
ОтветитьThese idiots get dogs they can't handle a respect others tone able to handle them. My friend has a.chow about 6 yrs old. He always loved me and let me pet him and loved my Afghan Hound female like you wouldn't believe. All of a.suddenhe.started biting people that he always liked. His owners are wonderful people. I stay away from him now.
ОтветитьShe's a sweet Chow ❤
ОтветитьI have chosen my whole life. My 1st one lived to be 21 and never met a stranger. My last one was my service animal until she passed at 13. It's all in how they're raised
ОтветитьYes, I stopped at the second growl with. Chow and considered myself
lucky
If this is how they take care of their dog, I’m afraid for the baby. Chows do not like children. Give that fur baby to a good responsible home.
ОтветитьWhy hasn't the lady been "fixed?"
ОтветитьI haven’t seen posts from you for a while. I watched for years and somehow lost you when I had to replace my tablet. I hope you and your daughter are doing well. Merry Christmas and a blessed new year to you both. You are the best groomer as far as I can see.
ОтветитьI love how the owners can afford to have a baby but can’t take care of their dog.
ОтветитьDon't people brush their pets ...ever? This is serious neglect. Tell them the dog ran away.... she should not be returned to these people.
ОтветитьNo reason for this poor dog to be in this state, how wouldn't you your dog is in heat !!! Long hair no excuse 😢😢😢
ОтветитьProbably the most attention she's had in a long time poor baby ❤
ОтветитьI have a blue Chow and have had several previously. I'm so stuck to them as well as American Pit Bull, Shetland Sheep Dog, and Pomeranians. Can't help my love of these various breeds. I have always groomed my pets because I haven't had the money for professional grooming and my mom and vet told me stories of unacceptable treatment by local groomers. I know it's not everyone or every breed. When grooming students are told what breeds never took accept, that's really sad. Okay, back to what I was saying, I groom my Chow, and he's fabulous, except for scissor work. He has an absolute fear! I have no idea where this came from, but it makes grooming around his head and feet really difficult. Having said all that, my boy loves (!!!!) the bath and the towelling afterwards. He wiggles and wriggles. It's so much fun! Keeping the hair behind a Chow's ears from matting is only avoided by brushing every day. The condition of the Chow in this video makes me really angry and sad. The owners should be ashamed of themselves.
ОтветитьPoor baby, she must’ve been in so much pain with those matts 😢
ОтветитьRidiculous. They have a baby so they let the dog fend for itself? She should be rejoined; they don’t deserve this chow chow.
ОтветитьMerry Christmas Mary Beth to you, your dad and your daughter 🎄🤶🎅 and Happy New Year 2025 🎉🎉
ОтветитьGood to see you again. Have a blessed Christmas and New Year 🎉❤ Linda from MI... always watched your channel before😊
ОтветитьI'm so glad you are back grooming. ❤❤
ОтветитьShe's so being so good.
ОтветитьHow often should you bathe a dog?
ОтветитьI LOVE chow chows so much, so sad to see she has owners that don’t care enough to brush her coat and let her get to the condition. Chows can be such great dogs with the right people.
ОтветитьI my ex had a chow. He was really very sweet, but my ex was tough on him. We really didn’t maintenance him, he was great until we had our son. It turned out the chow had cancer. That poor baby. I hope they manage her better. It sad to see her coat being removed
ОтветитьThis Chow Chow is a sweetie! Too bad the owners don't give her the care she needs. If you don't like brushing dogs, don't get a Chow! I've only been around three Chows my entire life (66 yrs old), and they were wonderful dogs, all living in households with children. I think with Chow Chow's you really have to work at socializing them. Their natural behavior is to be solitary, antisocial, and a one person dog.
ОтветитьMarybeth, Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas to you and your family!
ОтветитьThis poor baby didn't deserve this! I miss my Chow so much! Beautiful and loyal dogs!
ОтветитьWhat happened? Do we need a part 2?
ОтветитьI wish you'd shown the final result. Disappointed.
ОтветитьI had a chose bow and she was a wonderful dog! She was very protective & would get angry if there was a threat. She listened to us and was very easy to train.
ОтветитьDarn auto correct! Meant Chow-Chow!
ОтветитьSome breeds aren't meant for everybody. I just wish people would research the breed before getting a dog. The dogs and the owners would be much happier.
ОтветитьThat matting didn’t happen in 2 weeks…..
ОтветитьI agree on the fear of chows, but this sweet girl just looks so defeated, so sad. As someone mentioned, this is probably the most attention that she’s had in a long time. I normally don’t advocate for people reforming after a baby, but I think in this case, it would be best for this dog, to go to a home where someone will pay attention to her, to love her
ОтветитьIf they can't take care of grooming a dog how on earth they gunna take care of a baby . Poor poor dog , needs rehoming to someone who will look after it properly
Ответитьi have a male chow, i brush him everyday have done since the day i got him and he goes to groomers every month for a shampoo and trim, hes 4 years old now never had a problem with him, he lifts his paws for nail trim. its so sad when people dont put in the work these dogs need for grooming up keep. i think a lot of the problem with chows is there very much a 1 person dog, much like cats they have to come to you. great job as always Marybeth ty for the work you do
ОтветитьWhen I bought my last pug I had him flown in to Louisville airport when I got there the flight attente offered me a chow that had been flown in as well cuz the owner had not shown up to pick that baby up, I didn't take the chow I didn't want to go to jail but I could of had a free chow
ОтветитьIm a retired groomer. I was clipping the nails on a very large, male 10 month old chow. Out of no where, he launched himself at me and caused lacerations on my arms. He jumped off the table and was hanging himself. It took 3 off us to get him off the table. He came after each of us. He knocked me down and broke 2 of my ribs. I was Taken by ambulance to the hospital. Never again!
