Sony BRAVIA XR X90J or X95J LED 4K Smart TV - or Neither?

I just went from the x90j to a samsung s95b. Yea...paid 1200 for the x90j in 2021 at 50 inches and got the s95b this year for 1300 at 55 inches.....I had no clue what I was missing out on.

problem is, all the difference between the 2 that we can see are so "small" that it can simply be the panel lottery and not a real difference between those 2 models

what about the x94j ? its 1000 euro for the 55 inch

X90J 75" while not the brightest TV is kind of a no brainer at it's current price, 1200 $. It has better contrast and Local dimming than most other VA panels or even Mini LED's, don't buy Hisense over this one, XR Processor and Reality Creation just gives higher end bang for buck image quality.

Great video B. I just bought a 75 X95j because of this video. It’s awesome. I was worried about it because I saw there was some comments from reviews disappointed from it but your video and FOMO’s really help to assure it was going to be a great TV. I upgraded from a Vizio P series and for me it’s been a fantastic upgrade. Keep up the great content. You do an awesome job of speaking to the practical use of TVs.

Thank you excellent vodeo, i was on the fence with the x90j and x95j and i made my choice by the 3\4 of the video witch was x95j but now on the fence with the oled a80j, my cinéma is in our main living room witch is facing south direct sun light since i am in canada but i do have excellent shades and dont watch much TV in the day time so wondering what is best for me again.

bought the x90j 75 in. was $1300.00 cheaper than the 95j. Very good TV. Is also very bright, have to turn it way down or I would go blind.

Jee I'm old. In my time, you were told to close the blinds when there were too many reflections. Now, a TV must fight the reflections with brightness to the point that you're left with burnt highlights and a blob of light as a picture. Well thought. See you at 50 with semi-blindness. Don't forget to watch your mini-sun TV in pitch black environments.

I've got the 90j 75" and I keep my shades pulled 100% of the time just because I'm weird. 😏. In spite of that, I have to keep my TV in cinema mode just to keep the brightness down. I feel this TV is more than bright enough, even if the shades are open and in cinema mode. I couldn't be happier with this tv.

X90J is great for me! I never play or watch movies in a complete dark room so ..😉

I have all all of them x950H, x90J, x95J, A80J. What can I say? If you are looking for the best bang for your buck, then x950H is your choice. Just incredible quality and outstanding features at a cheaper price. No question about it. X90J will be the most dim out of all of them that kind of disappoints me all the time. So, this is what I do. If I want to watch TV during the day when daylight gets inside the room, I always choose x95 model does not matter 95H or 95 J, they are same. If I want to watch some good quality movie when dark, I choose A80J. When all my TVs are occupied with other family members, then I turn x90J on. Truly I hate the glare that x90J produces and it has a bit grainy picture in comparison with others. Plus the picture is always a bit dark, dim etc. I highly recommend to pay $300 more and always get x95 model does not matter H or J if you cannot afford OLED.

My Sony Bravia XR 55 X90J works and looks very good on a living room wall with windows on two sides on SW, West, NW with bright afternoon light all year. Reflected light from another building also brightens the living room kitchen combo in the morning. If it's too much sunlight I just close the blinds. At night the screen picture is excellent. But I am considering the XR 65 X95J because the room is 19' x 13' 1 1/2". Just waiting for another price drop from today at $1499.99 at Best Buy. Plus I need to decide how to use or to store my Sony Bravia XR 55 X90J.

85” 91J or 75” 95J both are same price at BB. Would like the 85” 95J but I feel it’s too much money.

My living arrangements are about to change in the coming months and currently own the 55 A80J so I will be looking to move the OLED in a darker room and will need a new TV in a living room with 4 windows that has a lot of light coming through. I’m torn between buying a second A80J 65 inch over the X95J. It’s about a $200 difference.

x90j or x950h for gaming? i don't car about vrr and 120hz. 55 inch.

I feel like these sightly brighter versions of TVs; same with the Samsung NeoQled 90a vs the 88; have what I call a brightness bleed over. It seems like the less bright ones show more detail in brighter spots while the brighter versions of essentially the same TVs tend to blot out details where there's brighter spots in a frame. Like they lose control almost. Even in a demo they had cyberpunk playing and the guys collar was lit up with orange/red/yellow lights with lines ribbing throughout. The colours seemed more vibrant on the brighter TV, but the yellow spots were so bright that they overtook the area and you no longer saw the black ribbing design. There were other instances of this as well, but that one seemed easiest to convey. I'd like to think settings could fix this, but I even noticed it happen a bit in this video.

I think your comment more confused than ever. I’m torn between x90j & x95j. Not sure I’m ready for OLED after 20 years of an XBR lcd tv?
But reflection on my x90j is more than any other tv I’ve owned. But picture is awesome. I’m tempted to change to OLED A80j. It surely helps to demo the TV in you own room.

im torn between 75" x95J and a 65" LG C1. what should I do? Will the extra size give me more than the better quality of the OLED? (im sitting more than 4 meters away and I will be watching in a controlled light environment, mostly at night hours.

I've bought 55" x90j quite recently.. and I was really disappointed with these dark corners ☹️
I did some research and now I see that all new Sony TVs has this kind of issue.
But Sony support didn't consider it as an issue.. but as specificities from backlight..
But this is not acceptable for this price I think
I'm thinking to return the TV.. despite I like it overall
And x95j - as for me overrated

i had the 55inch LG C1 great tv really great tv but the left to right movement is really bad like flicker i looked at my mates C1 and its just as bad watch the open part of deadpool 2 just before he sits on the oil cans really bad any way i sent it back and got the SONY A80 and tho i didnt feel the same blow away feeling i got with the LG C1 that seen is night and day the colours are more true to life everything else about the same tho the remote on the sony is bad it works dont get me wrong but the C1s remote is fantastic to hold and feels better made feel free to ask me any think about both tvs BUT lol i sent the A80 back as it just wasnt doing it for me size wise now i have ordered the 65inch SONY X90J due tomorrow 04/01/22 why u might be asking well the size for one and my cash level has dropped due to bills and i wanted a bigger size i got the SONY X90J 1089 UK in the sale sorry if spelling is off but just thought i could help a few people
