Hey mate, I recently returned after years without trying the game but now I have a question: Is the game actually on soft relese or will all assets be reset on release date? I want to decide if I'll start farming stuff and buying ships with game currency but can't bring myself to do that if it's not permanent yet...

Was this already nerfed useless or is it still working?

Nice video! For some reason, i have no luck coming across high value drugs like maze and eggs. But i do find a lot of recycled materials composite, turns out they actually pay not that bad at 13k per scu. And they can be sold on major city without worried being griefed. Moreover, the ship i am using is connie andromeda rented from vantage rentals, cuz i am broke😂. I think this is a good ship to allow new players to explore this gameplay loop without breaking the bank.

Is it just me or is anyone else having extreme trouble actually re-finding the soft-deathed ships? Especially in zero-g like I hold V and nothing shows up. They're lost to space.

Except you can't sell a damn thing

I'm having a difficult time finding the ships after they die and fall or even in the asteroids. Seems like after I'm done killing them, I am lucky if I can find even one of them around me. I tried a suggestion of pinning the ships, 1,2 and 3 but once they die, even a soft death... seem the pin is gone. This video makes it look super easy, and maybe it's a skill issue, but I am finding it a little frustrating. Have missions, have cargo ships, kill cargo ships... lose ship's locations, most of the time.

one VHRT bounty target gave me around 100 scu in weevil eggs when I did a solo C2 run. That got me over 12 million aUEC in one sale. If you do it solo, try to avoid Brio and go for Devlin at Euterpe. Brio is much busier, so you will have 'no demand' more often and a higher risk of getting attacked by pirates

Just a quick question.. I'm having issues with keeping targets in soft death, I use trigger discipline towards the end, but more often than not they fully explode and drop the cargo. I'm running size 4 and 5 lazer cannons on my Connie, would it help by switching to ballistics?

Also, are EMP weapons any good to help combat this? Say, if my friend was to come along with a Vanguard Sentinal for example.

if you solo you risking to lose all when you try to sell them because there may be players and will just wait for you to com so is to risky to do solo

Since the big containers can't get stuck on the grid of the corsair's cargo, you can't sell them, right ? What's the point of taking them ?

the part with "no comms coverage on the salvage yard locations" isnt true. on euterpe there is 100% coverage and i was able to give a guy crimestat for killing me there

I am pretty sure CIG turned off the turnover for certain drugs because the demand for Maze, Slam, Widow, and eggs is just gone. Its not even worth doing this as of 3 days ago.

Fantastic video and great recommendations, but I would like to give everyone a heads up regarding the sale locations. There is currently a common bug that causes the refresh timer on the terminals to not tick over. Currently, most if not all terminals at the locations in the video are reading as fully stocked, with no demand for any of the profitable illicit cargo. I sincerely hope that anyone trying this method does not run into this bug, but I am currently sitting on an over 10 million credit cargo of Weevil Eggs and Maze after visiting all terms across multiple servers. Best of luck, and don't forget to report it to the issue council on RSI if it happens to you too. (EDIT: Personally confirmed sale of said cargo is now consistently available as of 12/12/23!) o7

Too bad you haven't covered the current issue that none of the sketchy locations to sell these drugs will take them. I have been trying for 3 days now and have had to dump 2 full loads from a taurus and a full load from a c1 since i could not sell the cargo anywhere. Specifically a full load of weevil eggs that none of the 4 scrap yards would take... so basically 10 mil in drugs just dumped.

C2 + Corsair is an amazing combo for duo pilots.

Corsair kills, C2 loots. Extremely efficient.
Make sure you trust the C2 pilot to split 50/50 afterwards.

THIS DOESNT WORK: Drug sales are locked right now. Can't believe you would post this video while RSI has literally disabled this game mechanic. Don't waste your time on this people, at least log in and ask the server if drugs are still locked. Until then downvote this video for false advertsiement. You'll have a ship full of illegal cargo that you can't get rid of.

600i would be the goat if it had more dedicated internal cargo.

bit late with the video. they pulled the plug on this already saying the terminals are bugged lol, you know they dont want you being able to make millions that quick. it was good while it lasted

Thanks for the ballpark values of the drugs. As someone who works with groups on these I’m often confused and debating whether some loot is worth the time and space or not

Is there a website that gives info on weevil eggs? sc-trade doesn't have them, gallog doesn't work at all, and uxcorp has no drugs.

Excellent detailed and well presented vid for those determined to go this route at making lots of aUEC and earning their certs. Ships, C2/Corsair/Taurus are excellent, C2 in my opinion being the best all rounder. Alas, i don't grind, i just lend my mates all the ships, they drop me a few mil aUEC for the privilege. 10/10 for anyone needing a good guide. Kudos

Ok I'm sitting at a little over thirty mil doing this. The jig is sort of up on this method. It has gotten to the point where you can't sell the loot at the scrap yards

Really thanks for your video, but the bitter true is right now... it's really hard to sell some illegal items. Especially among eggs.There are a lot of players selling and with the servers overlapping each other, it's very difficult to find a niche to sell. A situation that is further complicated by the opportunistic PVP. Hopefully it will be fixed with the next patch or with an operational trading module, which will cause prices to plummet if the supply is high.

This Info has been out for a very long time, a bit late to post when everyone knows and even has a bunch of videos of it, hell I found this out when they first put the new cargo into game in ptu.

When i grind rep to get to vhrt: Inferno - its insane if you have decent aim, how many bounties you can do in a row before restocking ammo and how fast you can do em. Time to kill on the minigun is just insanely fast.
When doing vhrt alone: I use my taurus - as many other have said in the comments, its just so good for solo bounty gameplay.
When i do duo's, we both run inferno, and one of us goes back to get a cargo ship, when we find a cargo we wanna sell.

They could rebalance it a little tho, im at the point where idk what ship to buy in game.
