What Happens When You Complete the Hunter's Journal In Hollow Knight

I figured that some people do not have the time to complete the hunters journal OR they do not want to go after every enemy. So here you go!

It would be amazing if silksong had us fight the hunter

It's just so sad that after you visit him again, he just sits there motionless.
He must have either gone into a slumber... or died, having attained peace from passing on the knowledge to a more powerful hunter.
Both scenarios are equally sad to think about.

I hope the hunter plays some kind of role in silk song

fun fact: some enemies cause the ammount you need to go up, stuff like pantheon only enemies (sly, oro, etc) the seal of binding from pop, grimm and nkg i think and gray Prince zote and both their minions

Imagine if he had a bossfight, and slowly slowly, a few at a time, started releasing one of every single enemy in order (excluding bosses... duh) like the Collector does but more than just primal aspids and stuff. Then at the end, he actually starts fighting you and looking at his body, he would probably similar to Nosk

so i killed almost all the population of bugs and different living things from all of hallownest... for a teeth?

I’m glad we didn’t fight him here since he’s a bro, but I would have liked him to be a boss in a pantheon, alike to the nailmasters etc

They even troll you the first time you meet him, given he makes a loud roar that makes you think he's about to attack, then nothing. So they troll you twice.

I think this would be a badass boss fight after all he knows every move from every enemy in the game soooo yeah kind of a missed oportunitie at least we have everything in the game to make up for it

Do you have any idea why I'd get the true hunter achievement but not the keen hunter achievement? I went to the hunter after completing the journal and only got true hunter; should I have gone to him before completing it in order to get keen hunter?

When I first walked into this area I just saw the hole this guy is in and just made a mental note to never return.

I picked up Hollow Knight in the first time in years to get back into the world and finish the stuff I never did and finally did the hunters journal completely and was caught of guard by the hunter boss music.I was like after four years there's a boss fight I didn't know about,but he was just giving me the hunters mark.

Even years later im finding out little things about this game that surprises me.

His body reminds me a lot of Nosk’s. Along with the spider eyes, I get the feeling he probably came from Deepnest.

I actually like it better that way, first time you meet him he is actually preparing to hunt you down but then acknowledges your potential, for him to challenge our character after we prove ourselves to be as skilled as he anticipated and probably better wouldn't make sense since in his own mind being worthy of the mark is like joining a family. Though he is still prepared to go for a round if you were ever to hunt him, so he is probably just proud of our character
