You obviously dont use Beat Sync but do you use Quantize for these drills? Thank you
Also it seems in another video, in an exercise you were taking 2 different songs but bringing the BPM to the same value but manually launching and syncing them.
Repetition is another form of change.
ОтветитьEar tells. Cannot compare. If you're looking at the wave forms better be 100% magnified.
ОтветитьAbsolutely brilliant video
ОтветитьLove your energy! 💖 So friendly and engaging.
ОтветитьBest way to beat match - Get Two records ..

ОтветитьThanks For That Mate :)
ОтветитьThanks you so much you have helped me so much
ОтветитьAmazing video and love your enthousiasm!!!
ОтветитьPush it one way if it don’t work push it the other way 🤣🤣🤣 🤣
ОтветитьYou don’t have to beat match these days the digital equipment/ record ox set at the same bpm - that’s why there are so many so called “DJs”
ОтветитьSuch a great tutorial! Thank you ! 🔥🎶🔥🎶
ОтветитьWhat a great teacher! Thanks for getting us all excited and sharing your enthusiasm with us. Cheers!
ОтветитьThanks, man. For real. You are a great tutor.
ОтветитьIf you really want to master beatmatching try with late 1970's disco. Use the tempo slider not the jog wheel and go up and down until you get an average. Then use the jog wheel for fine adjustments as you mix. The beats won't ever stay in sync since most of that music was done by musicians and not drum machines. Anything past the late 80's was done on 808 & 909's and is too easy to mix. I started mixing on vinyl back in the early 80's and the current way I mix is the sync button because it saves so much time and allows me more creativity.
ОтветитьI have been watching your videos for sometime and I absolutely love that atmosphere and the way you teach, I will definitely be joining soon 🔥
ОтветитьGreat tutorial, thanks so much.🙏🏾
ОтветитьLove this video! Really helpful!
ОтветитьThanks boss you're abig Thacher❤❤❤❤
ОтветитьIs it just me, but I'm a little bit in love with this guy.
Ответитьthis is purely amazing and helpful
ОтветитьI've only been practising DJing since the weekend, so I'm totally new to this at 43. This is by far the best way I've heard this explained, and I've been watching lots of videos. Looking forward to getting some practice in. Great video
ОтветитьAmazing teacher with a smile
ОтветитьI don’t even have any DJ gear I’m
Just watching this cuz the Dj seems like a cool knowledgeable person. Inspirational
great vid!
ОтветитьWell done
ОтветитьThanks!
Ответитьhaha I rarely say this on a video, but man this dude is so likable. I wonder if he's just a generally happy and nice guy. Helpful tutorial and easy to watch.
ОтветитьJust want to clarify at 3.09 when you were beat matchig , you have quoted " Better " ,when actually i felt the sound to be phasing, then I noticed both basses were 12 o clock. Just wanna ask would you avoid phasing sounds in set even if the rythm is quantised . May be because from a production point of view ,I felt that sound to. stand out of. mix. What is your opinion on , would love. to hear. I reallly love. your tutorials.
ОтветитьGreat tutor 👌🏽
ОтветитьAwwww you're so sweet and smiley, Andrew. You've made me feel so much clearer about my DJing, and the way you explain techniques actually make sense - and I remember what you teach. I mean thinking of the jog wheel as a clock, so simple... genius! :) The course is so worth it and so welcoming, no matter what level you're at eg, I got so much out of the material which I didn't expect. I've had musical training and a natural ear but had been winging it DJing for years, probably made it much harder for myself tbh!
ОтветитьGreat tips, thanks for the lesson
ОтветитьThanks so much for this video brother, about to play my first set stressing about using the newer decks but this video has just gave me so much reasurance iv been mixing on old numark ndx400's for years but never know if im heading in right direction
Was good to get advice and it already be very similar to what im already doing.
Even down to the mixing in the highs with the bass cut is something ive been doing alot recently for the fact if the bpm isnt matched the bass stands out more than the highs
You are awesome this made so much sense. Thank you 🙏
ОтветитьYou the best. I wanna be a dj like you!!!
Ответить"if you are not sure,..you are close",..great!!
ОтветитьThank youu. I have a question. What’s the point in beat matching by ear when you have the facilities to do it visually? It’s a lot faster to beat match based on the waveforms, so I don’t see what the point really is to do it by ear
ОтветитьKeep doing what you do, love the energy!
ОтветитьGreat lesson! It’s essential to learn beat matching without visual reference. Many who learn to dj with controllers can’t live without the stacking waveform display and would get totally lost when playing with a pro setup in actual clubs. Beat matching with EQ is a golden tip. We are more sensitive to frequencies around 4k so beat matching with emphasized hi-mid is very effective.
ОтветитьYou are awesome! Thank you 4 the NRJ and the techtips!
ОтветитьAhh the good ole easy client that can’t even go cash their own $5,000 check at their own bank and pay each vendor individually and wants the DJ to double as their money manager.
Ответитьfinally someone has managed to explain the link btween bpm and jogwheel when beatmatching that made sense. finally finally finally
ОтветитьCool video, thanks!
ОтветитьI’ve been following you for a while now. But I haven’t watch most of your beginners vids. This one auto played and when you got to the third way to beat match it made me smile. I learned on vinyl. And it took me more than 5 years to learn how to beat match. Being partially deaf in one ear. Also has left me close to tone deff. So the bass all blends together more often than not. So when I was learning how to mix. I had to find a marker in the music to use. Well I mix off the highs and mids. High hats or snares. To me they sound like a metronome, so those tones became my natural marker to mix on.
Keep up the good work!
From Melbourne Florida!
