Scott you continue to amaze me with your simple cheap but effective ideas time after time after time.
Ответитьthis is pretty cool!
ОтветитьCool !
ОтветитьI dig the idea. I think I am going to give this system a try.
ОтветитьYou sir, are a genius
ОтветитьYes, this is true. You can also use a rubber band that is used to open jars, it works pretty well.
ОтветитьClothes pegs have a model number???
ОтветитьAmazing Thanks!
ОтветитьNot sure what you're refering too, but if you're talking about the C-47, That is what they are commonly called on pro movie sets and stuff by the art deprmt ect. I forget why that where called that.
ОтветитьHs30-but yes. I have a jar opener but even that doesn't work well!
ОтветитьExcept then you wouldn't be able to move the focus points around very easily.
ОтветитьIt was military lingo for a clothes pin.
ОтветитьAhh. I thought I heard it had to do with naming stuff in the budget or something. IDk
ОтветитьNeeds a red ring anyways.
ОтветитьHas anyone tried this method on the canon nifty-fifty lens or know if the focus gear work good on this lens?
ОтветитьI'd recommend a ziptie over a rubber band, cinched tight, the "tail" will give you a handle/tab to push/pull on.
ОтветитьFantastic hack :-) and yes in this sense being a hack is a good thing :-)
ОтветитьHi. Do you have DIY zooming dslr remote? Thanks.
ОтветитьI wouldn't doubt that it had to do with naming stuff for government spending on military supplies.
ОтветитьFruitful maker.
ОтветитьVery interesting. But what's the gear normally used for? The ebay link makes it sound like some commodity item in the film business.
ОтветитьIt's a gear that would normally be used in conjunction with a typical follow focus system. It adds gear teeth to your lens so it can be connected to a knob with teeth that you can turn, turning the lens as well.
ОтветитьNice! There's also an alternative on Amazon called "follow focus or zoom control" that's basically a big zip tie with a stick and works like the jar opener but ten times better.
ОтветитьSo if you have multiple lenses you have to buy multiple focus gears?
ОтветитьOnly if you want the gear to travel with the lens. I've got several lenses of the same diameter and I just move the gear between them.
Ответитьyou are awesome..
ОтветитьI noticed you have that Sony Alpha NEX, How is it?! I was considering buying one but wasn't quite sure if it is worth the money. Do you have a review on it or do you know someone who has done a very good in depth review on them?
ОтветитьIngeniously.
Ответить It would mean the world to me if all of you great filmakers would look at my channel thanks you guys are awsome!
Simple but so much more effective than any other diy out there.
Ответитьmannnnnnnn you SCOUR ebay & the internet!!! YOU FIND every damn thing!! I LOVE IT! again, good job man!!!
ОтветитьWhat kind of camera is that?
ОтветитьThanks
ОтветитьWhat kind of lens
ОтветитьThanks again
ОтветитьI have a t2i 550D. And a Neewer Follow Focus CN-90f. I have a problem where the my follow focus bumps into the camera and I have to switch it the other side. I prefer to pull focus with my left hand. Will those rings work with a canon 50mm prime lens. Im sure Ill have to do the rubber band thing, Im already doing that with the rings it came with. Just wanted to check before I order those rings that extend out.
ОтветитьHello Sir King Frugal! Love your videos, but mostly . . . love your cleverness! I thoroughly enjoy how your brain thinks - a TRUE problem-solver and DIYer! I'm a bit of a Nerdy/Techy/Crafty/Engineer-Type/Do-It-Yourselfer too, but the female version. I've been called a McGyver and laughed at and admired all at the same time. So when I see your stuff, it makes me smile and say that's one very clever person! I'm just starting out in both photography and videography myself, so I'm having a field day learning as much as I can in order to get the most bang for my buck. Just wanted you to know how much your resourcefulness and cleverness is enjoyed!!!
Ответить$9.89 now!
Ответитьawesome videos sir.
ОтветитьBeautiful idea, thanks!
ОтветитьWow I've been trying to find a follow focus idea that would work by pulling focus myself and this one worked best! Thank you so much! Keep up the amazing work!
