ОтветитьI have a question about tracking calls to numbers on my website.
Example: I run a home improvement company.
1. Adam Googles "home improvement services" on their laptop,
2. He clicks my ad,
3. He arrives on my landing page and likes what he sees.
4. Adam sees the number displayed on the website, and types it into his phone.
5. Because Adam is short on time, he saves the number as a new contact to come back to later
6. 3 days later, Adam calls the number and is put through.
7. An appointment is made <- Successful conversion
When I first set up the call conversion for this campaign (the ad Adam clicked on), I set a "CLICK-through conversion window" of 7 days.
I understand how Google Forwarding Numbers are used to identify leads from ads. But how does Google determine the original ad-click of a lead, if they clicked the ad on a desktop/laptop, then phoned the number from their mobile?
If Google can't determine when the ad-click took place, surely they also can't determine if the conversion falls in the "click-through conversion window" of 7 days. Do they just assume it falls out the window, or something else?
I always have had a hard time with people eating or drinking a lot when doing recordings, so this was kinda hard to follow😂. Not telling anyone how to live their life though, so I just had to power through this one. The content is worth it!
