$900 a month is bullshit! Especially an LA marina slip. These people on the west coast can’t stop BS’ing. They just never stop acting like they always have it made. Zero straight forward people on the west coast. Boats are absolute money pits! Sure the idea is cool but to save money? No way! A lot more people would be dong it. Your lifestyle would be much better living in a RV or van living vs a boat.

I remember back in the 80's watching don johnson in Miami vice living on a boat in Miami...then wearing his linen versace suits no socks and then driving around in his ferrari. He used to bang lots of babes on his boat...I thought thats what Im going to do when I get older. ahh youth

Ok, just watched the whole thing. Guy is leaving out a lot. He also Contradicitng himself a lot. He says it just takes as much mantaince as a car. Than next sentance he says it breaks down all the time and has to pay for a Mechanic who there All the Time! Well which is it. Might explain why he so broke he has to steel plasitc forks. Also how much is his monthly boat cost. You have to add that into the slip fees as well. Otherwise you just have the slip and no boat. WTF!?! Im sure with the Boat, slip Fees, cost of Maintenace etc... You have to spend $3500-$5000 per month to live there, depending on the boat. Plus side is you have a boat.The other you live in a very small basically apt. So pick your poision! Honestly sounds like a couple Rich kids and Dad paid for it all.

Marina Jacked the prices way up! He parked at my Yacht Club. Our Boats are parked there too. Lots of people are selling their boats and move. Because the price have SkyRocketed. Crazy part it is the City that owns it all. They will Rent control everyone else but themselves!

I’ve been a live aboard on a 44 foot Searay on a lake in the east and have been for 21 years. My slip rent is $525.00 a month for a covered slip at a full service marina RV park.
One draw back with marina life is it can get really rowdy as you herd him say they have a lot of parties and boats are only a few feet apart. I got lucky and our marina has a quite area for those who don’t want to be around loud party folks. Marina restaurant does have live entertainment on Friday , Saturday and Sunday.
I do have to pay electric which averages about $50.00 a month. Fresh water is free. So I’m around $575.00 a month. My insurance is around $80.00 a month. I do 100% all repairs myself so I don’t have that expense other than parts.

Soooooooooo inaccurate and missing a ton of pertinent info. and cost.If you couldn’t see perceive that within the first 5 minutes…you might need a lot of help in life 🫣
