I know asl sign language on this song I was born hard of hearing and deaf since I was a child sign language were my first language I started after I told my teacher that I was deaf and hard of hearing so I wore fm unit hearing device at the age of 10 I started learning to read lips at that time I didn’t tell my friends at school that I was different than any other students I was the only deaf hard of hearing kid in elementary school back in the 90s I wore hearing aid at age 12 that’s when I started asl in the first place so I learn how to sign songs in asl you know lyrics videos help me use asl on songs with my hands I can read lips and sign language as well so my disabilities never stop me from chasing my dreams as a performer so yeah I use a lot of technology to communicate as well it took me a while to communicate with people since I only hear things close by not far away 🥰

This song is dedicated to my late dad

25 year's today my Dad suddenly passed away and i never got the chance to tell him how much i love him😢. We didn't always see eye to eye in my younger days. And it wasn't until i got older that i realised that he was only trying to protect me growing up. Mike and the mechanics were one of his favourite groups so i was brought up listening to them. And this song breaks my heart because i never got the chance to tell him just how much i loved him 😢

Only in the afterlife me and my dad would be able to heal.

He asked fogiveness for all the misery the night before he died.
But i couldn't answer.

I miss my dad.he was a good man,an American and went to Brazil when he was 19 and stayed and got married and wanted to return home,my mom was polish and hardheaded and did not want to come,my sister got married and my dad finally had support from my brother in law( may he Rest In Peace) finally my dad realized his dream with the help of my uncle here( an angel) and brought us to this great country,me,my brother,my mom,sister and brother in law and two very young nephews and his brother that went with him to Brazil
,he was 7 and after realizing his dream of bringing us here he passed away at 52 after 5 years here.I’m 78 and I will see him again soon on the other side.i hope he’s seeing that I married a good girl ( an American) 54 years ago and gave him 2 great grandkids,Daughter and son and 3 grandkids( boys) thank you dad❤ I’m proud to be an American citizen since I was a 16🇺🇸 my kid brother served in Vietnam.USS KITTY HAWK angel crew helicopter rescue crew

I listened to this song, over and over, when I knew my father was dying. In our family we never said "l love you". I thought it as wrong. However, I finally told him "I love you". before he was last admitted to hospital to die. Say it loud. Say it clear.

I lost my father early last year. He and I had a lot of quarrels over the years(mostly over politics) But we both came to accept, neither of us was going to change. At dads funeral, my brother cried. The words too this song are very powerful.

When I was a pre teen I loved my Dad, He was a big Man. He fought in WWII. And in my young eyes he was my Hero. But 8 in the family he seemed to have been run thin when I needed him, His patience didn't
Extend to me. I got alot of whoopins. Then in my teens I rebelled. Skipping out Drinking and in trouble with the law. It really felt like my Dad hated me. He never once told me He loved me. Then he got real sick. Bad. I visited him in the Hospital and could see he was getting worse. Then One night my sister called me and said its time he's dying.
I cried but never went to the Hospital. I've been living with this ugly self hatred and not letting him know I loved him. This song has so much emotional power all these years later I cry like a baby. Im sorry Pa I love you, and

Just lost my stepdad July 25th 2023. We never really saw eye to eye in my younger years and i will admit even in the most recent years it was not perfect but as i grow older and mature i began to understand the things i never could when i was younger and it made our bond stronger. Sadly he's gone now and the last time i saw and spoke to him was 2 weeks ago, i wish i had at least 5 minutes with him to tell him everything i never did 😢. Tho this song brings tears to my eyes but i still listen to it. Can't stress enough on what I'd do just to get a last moment with him.

My Dad passed away seven weeks ago and this song held great resonance for him. I was estranged from my sibling for many years and we made up just before our Dad died. Our reconciliation gave our Dad great comfort in his final days. I also made sure he knew I loved him which gave us both great comfort. Never leave things unsaid as you never know when their final day will come and it’s suddenly too late.

My Father passed away five months ago today. What I regret the most is that I've never once said to him that I love him or hold his hand. It wasn't until after he passed that I held his hand and told him I loved him. Should have told him during his living years. 😢

My dad and I had a strained relationship due to my stepmother who my father married after my mother took her life with post natal depression. She ensured that he kicked me out of home at 14 so it wasn't until he divorced her many years later that I started to rebuild our relationship. He finally got to know a spend time with my 2 daughters and was looking forward my third child on the way but he passed suddenly at 56 so this song was ringing in my head when I nursed my new baby girl. She's now 27 but this song grabs my heart everytime ❤
