I have the a6400 and the a7R ii. I love them both. Each does certain things well. The a7r ii is a classic camera and is not really that expensive any more. APS-C and FF. Get both. You chose. Resistance is futile.

Hi! What do you usually recommend for stabilization to make videos with the Sony ZVe10? Do you use only lens stabilization or do you use the Sony catalyst browse program? The Sony has poor (electronic) stabilization but is small and light. I've looked around but there aren't many lightweight video cameras with stabilized APSC sensor. I was looking for a lightweight travel solution that isn't full frame or micro four thirds.

what really happens to f stop on apsc? My understanding the f1.4 is 2.1 (crop x f) on the full frame, which degrades the low light performance, thoughts?

Keep in mind that cropfactor is not just about focal length but also about aperture. So 50/1.2 is similar to around 35/0.8 which just doesn’t exist.

can we shoot professional weddings photo and video with something like an fx30 and these lenses?

Have you consider to use M43 lenses e.g. with Olympus/OM or Lumix to get probably even smaller gear?

Video idea for you that nobody has addressed: full frame to avoid the fisheye lens effect when shooting in small spaces. I want to put a camera on my desk and make guitar videos. I’d prefer the cheaper aps but then I’d need much wider lenses which make the guitar head look huge if I move it even 20 cm close to the camera. I may as well keep using my iPhone.

Mirrorless Aps-c cameras are great for people who want a small camera for travelling and taking holiday pictures, just like me😂

I wanted full frame until I started looking at lense price I love photography but lots of the lenses they recommend for full frame cost more than my car did lol so I had to be honest I'm not looking for a camera to make money off it I want high quality photo and video plus I want to bring it hiking with me honestly better video than gopro and better pictures than my phone is good enough

APSC is a fantastic format for vlogging especially. For taking photographs I prefer a bigger sensor, but of course the weight and cost is a choice against the potential image quality.

Im using the 11m f.18 lens and it is AWESOME!

Nikon z50 with the two kit lenses are astonishing good.

Would love for Sony or any third party such as sigma make a 24mm F1.4 prime lens for APS-C. Reason being it's more or less the equivalent of 35mm full frame which is really flexible.

Now that they have released the FX30, I think this video is even more important!! Great job.

The apsc just exist to push people into full frame. They could simply put a bigger sensor in the smaller body.

I still got 3 a6000 and i loved it becouse it was quite small. Good prices, great stabilisation and 2 card slots made me olympus em1mark2 user and its nice work horse. Just give me a6xxx wtih good stabilisation, fast 24mp sesnor with electronic shutter with 2 SD slots and im back in ;) Apsc is prefect. Its perfect balance between m4/3 and full frame. With photos apsc is pretty close to FF and lenses are realy small. Sony needs some pro apsc body :)

I have a Canon SL3 and I'm looking to jump to a mirrorless camera. To do that I would be spending $1000 at minimum (for a let's say Sony A6400 or a Canon EOS R10). However, for only $1300 I can get a Canon EOS R, which is full-frame. Would you say that I may as well go for the R?

Who needs full frame when you can simply get medium format 😣

Having to buy much wider lenses, and not being able to achieve the same DOF makes APS-C much less appealing IMO.

I just brought zv-e10 with the 16-50mm plus 10-18mm. I will use it mostly for vloging and I also shoot Fujifilm Gfx 50s ii with 110mm for portraits. Both serve their purposes well👍🏽

Why not make a video of how great of an investment the A7IV is for APS-C consumers? Have you seen how sharp 1080p is in crop mode on the a7IV? It's almost 4k sharp.

Can you please stop recommending ASPC cameras. Us APSC users enjoy the fact that Full Frame users think they are superior and thus pay more for their lenses and bodies.
The truth is, average Joe (the public) wouldn't be able to tell the difference between a full frame and ASPC image if comparable shots were taken. 🙂

The only reason to keep aps-c lens and camera is the weight. The only reason to buy sony lens rather than other brand, because it is sony.

But the big question; does the 10-20mm work on fullframe like the old 10-18mm does? How does it compare?
