The actor maybe never saw the Forest Gump movie? In the scene with the principle Forest was 2 points below the average acceptable intelligence. He was a little slow to piece things together, he took all things literally, and didnt question it when told to do something. But I wouldnt say that guy was retarded, like he was portrayed in this remake

Tom Hank's accent in Forrest Gump came from the young Forrest Gump actor. He spoke his original accent and Hanks decided to learn it for the older Forrest character.

Yeah about the language thing, most Indian speak multiple languages. They speak their local language, they also speak Hindi which is one of the most spoken languages and they speak English. So personally I frequently switch between Hindi, English and Kanada.

This movie is so ridiculous that when you said there was a celebrity cameo I thought “they probably tried to get SRK but there’s no WAY…”

About 2 minutes into this video, I paused it and went to watch the movie on Netflix. It was mostly hilarious, but there were a few great scenes. Intense, heart breaking… left you wanting more. They definitely missed a great opportunity early in the movie.

I came back later to watch this review and it was mostly right, but there were a few details you missed. One example being how after Mohamed was patched up and discharged, the military personnel were trying to find out what his name was and even asked Laal, but he never responded. They didn’t know he was the enemy, and he wasn’t talking after he came out of recovery. So I agree that it was idiotic that he recognized him and called him by name at the New Years reunion.

Also… I noticed your shots stopped being shots half way through. I’m writing this on shot 10, but realistically, it’s at shot 7 or so. Next time fill ‘em up. lol 😂

1: One got to love how you anxiously carress your couch as the movie is about to start. Watching your video till the end, I now know why.
2: 10inr back then was far more than it is now. Doesn't make domestic violence any better, but makes it a bit less ridiculous for the movie...
3: Have you seen "Bhaag Milkha Bhaag" yet?

How can you take a character like Forrest, who wasn't slow...he just had a low IQ and poor social skills and turn him into a complete idiot with no social skills. That's what Jenny helped him with. She helped him believe in himself in his abilities. When she told him to run away during the war she knew that he would be a hero. She knew his heart wouldnt let him just save himself he needed to save his friends. Jenny used Forest in the beginning yes, but think back ro when she would sneak into his room when she was a kid because her grandma had a scary mean dog...he was the one that made her feel safe. Them breaking the windows of her childhood home. He didn't understand why she needed to do that, but he knew that he needed to hold her when she broke down. His need to save her when he thought she was being assaulted. He was showing her how much he truly cared for her, but she knew she would bever be able to give him that love in return. He had always known what true love was...his momma showed him that. But Jenny needed to see it first hand. She had never been loved except by him. That's why she chose him to father her child. That's why she married him. Think what you want about Jenny, but in the end she realing was always going to keep coming back to her forest...the only man to ever show her love. The only man that made her feel safe. And that is why Forrest was such a great character, because no matter what he went through he always showed love and compassion for those he cared about. Whether it was his momma, Jenny, Bubba, or even LT Dan.

It's like when they decided how they should have him act they combined Forest Gump with Simple Jack and Mr. Bean.

I know you may never see this now, Leo, but my mom told me years ago the reason Forrest Gump had leg braces was because of his spine being crooked. The movie implies he had cerebral palsy or polio, but it never gives an official diagnosis, for whatever reason.
