I bought an LG C3 Oled 48-inch, almost 2 months ago. I use it as a daily PC monitor (6-8 hours a day). So far so good.
Ответитьmy LG CX purchased in 2020 has been heavily used as a PC gaming monitor and home theatre display every day since. Not even a hint of burn-in. and the auto brightness limiting is barely noticeable unless I'm doing Word documents or similar.
ОтветитьI just bought the c2 anyway 🙌
ОтветитьI've had my OLED monitor for a year now and it now has burn-in 😔
ОтветитьHI mr two first names!
ОтветитьThat‘s why i stick to LCD😌
ОтветитьNo thanks... OLED is a no go for me.
ОтветитьI know this post is over 2 years old now but the burn in issue is still relevant. I have an LG B6 and loved it until I notice the burn in.
My son played super lucky tale on it for one hour a day for a few months and I now have hearts burned into my tv which is noticeable every time the screen is a shade of red.
The TV was used with different content mostly every day and I used pixel shift and refresher regulary.
I will never buy OLED again.
Worked for a certain Big Box retailer...blue - anyway - every single time the LG rep came in with the new lineup I would always bring up burn in and every single time "its not an issue we took care of it" - yeah . . . thats why you cover it under warranty, and have built in software to help mitigate it and clear it up. Would NEVER use an OLED for my primary display on a PC.
ОтветитьI've been using my lgv30 Plus since it first came out still using today and a lot of things are slowly burned into the screen over all these years
Ответитьblud still hasnt activated windows
Ответитьi have the ps5 logo stuck in the middle of my tv lol
Ответитьminiled gets you most of the way to oled without burn in its a far better option its come so far
ОтветитьFun screen savers need a comeback tbh
ОтветитьWith careful maintenance (black solid wallpaper, autohide tasbar, don't maximise or snap windows into corners so the static bars etc/ all move around) they last a long time and you can avoid burn in. I own an LGC755, bought it way back in 2017 and use it exclusively as a PC monitor (mainly gaming and movies mind you, used a 30" LCD for browsing most of the time).
Unfortunately mine has quite severe burn in due to an incident whereby I was sick as a dog and continued to play an RPG with a friend, I passed out for four hours. My character, hotbars, minimap etc were all burned into the display. It is invisible for the most part but skin tones are paler right in the middle where the character was stood. If you put an orange solid colour background on you can see all of the burn in clearly, depending on the type of burn in different colours might be affected for others.
That being said it still looks great and I recently picked up an ASUS ROG Swift PG48UQ. I run them side by side (I love to multitask and got fed up of wanting to watch something in 4k and play something in 4k, needed two decent displays. That and I really wanted the ycbcr 4:4:4 10bit colour ratio at 120Hz, the C7 only being capable of 60Hz and despite supporting the 10bit 4:4:4 it didn't actually have an input to transmit the data required for 10bit ycbcr 4:4:4, just HDMI 2.0 ports and no DP back then. The Asus PG48UQ having DP 1.4 (25.92 Gbps) and better still HDMI 2.1 (full 48Gbps throughput) was too much to pass up on.
After a hell of a lot of tweaking and thanks to a user's guide on Reddit I got it to look the same as the LGC7, even with the burn in the C7 still looks great, the two are almost identical in image quality at least and 5 years apart.
I'm surprised how bright the C7 is, I use it exclusively at 100% OLED Panel lighting and whilst I'm sure it's dimmed it's default brightness is comparable if not slightly more than the Asus PG48UQ (guessing the latter is maybe toned down a little to prevent burn in.
I already had LED, so it be back to LCD... 🤤
Tech is just a scam 😂
Linus Is Going To Burn In My Screen😂
ОтветитьI had a 55 inches FullHD OLED, I bought it in 2016 but the model was from 2014. I began noticing a slight burn-in in the subtitles section of the screen after about 5 years of use, 9000+ hours of activity. I mostly watched movies and series in it, some ocasional gaming and no TV at all. I gave it to my sister now, and in the last moments I used it, I remember it had 17000+ hours of activity (7 years of use) and the burn-in was only noticeable in a bright scene with no subtitles, I saw it once a week tops. Other than that, image was still crystal clear. Now I have a 65 inches C2 with all these protection features, the old one had no protection at all. So I expect this one to last much longer without burn-in issues. 😄😄😄
ОтветитьOf course politics has to be pushed in this.
ОтветитьIm scared of the amount of time i've been playing Zelda for on my LG CX now
