All but one of these have horrible reviews online. The Kodiak is made of glued wood strips that develop stress cracks within months of use. The Mainstay comes with a cancer warning on the box due to the materials it's made of. The Sky 2878 has issue with the beverage holder section that stops folding flat enough to sleep on. The Novogratz Brittany is made of very cheap materials. The legs tend to break off with little effort, the hinges are made of cheap metal and pop off. Very low quality manufacturing.
My guess is, the only futon that is actually durable would be the one that's custom made with actual thick hardwood framing and not the cheap, lowcost materials used in commercial manufacturing. Good luck.

Bad back pain from an expensive mattress that’s sagging over time convinced me to go back to a futon. Less expensive and I never had any sagging in the material or any back pain from sleeping on a futon.
