When it comes to lenses: it is noticable that both Nikon and Canon offer 14mm lenses with screw on filters, while the widest lens with front filters for Sony starts at 16mm. This sounds like a small difference but 7 degrees field of view is substantial. I am starting to think that the very narrow lens mount of the Sony plays a part in this.

Ответитьwhat do you think of the Nikon 12-28mm lens? Is it a better choice compared to the 14-30mm?
ОтветитьI had the Sony A7Riv. Sharpest camera I ever owned but file sizes were way way too big. Pixel peepers delight. The z7ii is more useable.
ОтветитьZ7s card slot is on the wrong side of the camera
ОтветитьI would like to know if the Ziess ZF.2/Otus and other high end manual lenses give as good a result on the Sony A7RXX and Nikon Z7II as they do on the 850. I am skeptical that the less than perfectlly manufactured adaptors on the market won't introduce noticable distortion.
ОтветитьNikon is the worst for colors. I've owned every one. It has a bad warm tint even to the raw photos.
ОтветитьI'd rather have a Nikon D850 or Pentax K1-ii or 645Z
ОтветитьA year later…. But a great review that even me as a beginner i was able to understand it. Very well explained. Would love to see how the Nikon Z 7II competes with the Sony A 7III & Sony A 7RIII if it can be done!. Thank you!
ОтветитьI have a Nikon D850 but I'm leaning towards the Sony A7R4, only the Sigma 20 1.4 dg dn astro lens on Sony with its excellent iso results is better than any Nikon, that's my opinion!
ОтветитьDon't let it rain on the Sony. You won't be happy.
ОтветитьNow the sony is 2500
ОтветитьI'm puzzled by your decision to choose the Z7 II just because you thought it had more dynamic range than the A7R IV, yet objective dynamic range measurements by DxO and Photons to Photos both show the A7R IV actually has greater DR than the Z7 II.
ОтветитьImpressively helpful!
ОтветитьSo the Nikon is a silver award winner and the Sony a gold award winner, but you’re saying the Nikon actually wins?
ОтветитьSince we aren't talking snappy autofocus with landscapes and astro photopgraphy.....why are you not including all the F mount lenses one could use with the FTZ adaptor? No reason at all to discount those. Nikon has a ton more options than Sony when you factor that in (Tokina, Samyang, Tamron, Sigma, Laowa, etc) become available when you use the adaptor. I wouldn't count the FTZ when doing wildlife or sports but portraits and landscapes and macro easily.
ОтветитьCan imagine both Cameras eating batteries like Candy.
ОтветитьI ended up going with the Z7II after a while of deciding between an S1R, the R5, the a7Riv(a) and the aforementioned Z7II. I’m happy that I did because the body alongside both the 24-70 2.8S and the 14-30 4S proved to be such a winning combo for landscape and cityscape photography, which is what I tend to do a lot of. That 14-30 especially is such a real gem. It’s got great IQ, goes all the way to 14mm whilst having an 82mm filter thread and it’s pretty darn small and light.
To be fair, the other bodies would do just as well too, but it’s especially that 14-30 (among other things) that made me pick the Z. The closest would be the 14-35L on the R5, but surprisingly, I found myself not enjoying the ergonomics of it as much as the Z.
GFX 50SII vs Z7II when ?
ОтветитьJordan 🤣NO NO NO DON’T SKIP!
