Glad you are back in your home studio. It is wonderful to learn from you no matter what you decide to paint. Please don't change or take yourself or others too seriously. Blessings to you and your family.

This was great. I’ve got some wood slices that I want to paint greenery on for ornaments so this got me started practicing. I primed them with transparent ground first so hopefully they’ll turn out well. Thanks 🌿

Happy Thanksgiving to you as well! You are on my list as one of the amazing people in this world that I'm thankful for, I enjoy your channel immensley. I confess though, a couple times I've thought critters were scratching in my walls, only to realize I'm hearing your paintbrush.🤣 (my hearing is the issue, not your paintbrush)

Ohhh, Diane!! I just love you! And I do sooo appreciate you!! I used to attempt to keep a channel going and it’s a LOT OF WORK!! Frankly, I’m retired and have time to do as I like (blessing), and I wouldn’t waste a millisecond of it writing to someone, who has worked so hard, to let them know that their STIRRING bothered me!!! Oh my Gosh!!! What on earth possesses some people???? Keep on being you!!!! And the other person, who may or may not have complete command of English, should keep their comments to themselves!!! Ignorance just ticks me off!!!
PS: I LOVE the animals and the stunning scenery around the farm…. And you taught me the very best way to draw a pansy!!! Got any more of those up your sleeve??? Ok… I’m done now….❤

This was very inspiring and i love your manic mood and dry sarcasm. I'll try to paint something sort of similar tomorrow, who knows how it will go. I'll try not to fuss too much, but I know already how that will go.

Hi Diane! Beautiful work, and thank you for teaching how to paint pine. I’ve been wanting to paint it this year but really don’t know where to begin (I’m a beginner) so your tutorial is greatly appreciated. Also, I’m so amazed at how you did those pinecones- you made it look so straight forward ❤

By the way the video of me is actually my son about 20 years ago I have no idea how to remove it I am a sixty eight year old lady who just discovered watercolours about 6 months ago and am really enjoying this new hobby and your work.

I’ve learned so much from you since stumbling upon your channel and my day isn’t complete until I’ve watched one of your tutorials and then tried putting what I learned into practice. Thank you so much for all you give to us!❤

I love this tutorial, Diane - I'm always fascinated by how you get such a lovely variety of greens for your leaves! It's only when we newbies try to emulate you that we understand the skill and experience that you bring to your videos, not to mention the hours of work you and Tamsin put into the channel, even when you're on holiday! You're such a source of comfort and inspiration to me (and 159K others!). Thank you again.

Diane I am so grateful to have found your channel and have learned so much from you. The way you show how to sketch things has given me the ability to try and draw as well as paint. You give so many instructions about mixing colors that are very helpful. I wish I would have had art teachers like you when I was much younger. You are a great inspiration. Thank you for sharing your talent.

Wonderful watercolor teacher, please remember that you have nearly 160k followers from probably all over the world. You have inspired us and taught us. You have helped us build confidence in ourselves to try. You told us it is just a piece of paper and that the paper doesn't care. Social media gives an outlet for people to be mean and write rude and mean words anonymously and with no consequences. They are assured that you will never ever know who actually wrote it even if it's a neighbor or someone you see regularly at grocery or even church. Belittling someone else makes small people feel larger. Personally, I am so grateful I came upon your teaching channel within last 2 yrs. While I will never be a Rembrandt or Monet nor a Van Gogh (and will retain both ears), I am trying to paint more and more. Because you have built up my courage to try, I actually find myself smiling at some of my finished work...and proud of it. Thank you so very much.

Hi Diane! I really, really appreciate you...I started watching you when we were deep into the pandemic, and you helped me so much make it through that, and manage to stay relatively happy.... because you inspired me to keep painting. I really learned so much from you by watching you regularly... and I realized how therapeutic painting is. I can't believe that person made that kind of a comment...but I do know there are a lot of rude and not highly intelligent people in the world, and I just feel it is best to say..."it really doesn't matter" when someone like that makes a comment. You made me laugh today, and so there! That is worth its weight in gold to me!!! Keep on teaching me and inspiring me and all the thousands of other people as well!!!😊🥰❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ We love you! Welcome home!

I think you a great inspiration, you have helped me be free to create and not be so worried about perfection. When you are not talking to someone face to face you loose your humility filter. If can’t say something nice don’t say anything at all.

I enjoy all of your videos and this one is no exception. I love watching you work and even watching you setting up your workspace before you start painting. We all do that don’t we 🥰. Your voice is very soothing as is the pace at which you work. And I love your paintings!!!❤

I need to practice these, especially the holly, which is always a challenge for me. You have such a gift for creating beautiful compositions. Wishing you and your family a very happy Thanksgiving. I find you delightful Diane! And I often paint along with you! You have such wonderful ideas, and I absolutely love your style of painting. I think your years of experience shows. I worked as a commercial artist back in the 80’s (packaging and logo designs), I had used mostly ink, acrylics and oils but fell completely in love with watercolor in 2017…. It’s a whole different animal isn’t it?!!! I have appreciated your insights and experience… and I thank you, I appreciate you & I look forward to your every video!

Oh the yakking mouth on some people…just breeze on by them. Thanksgiving in the USA is November 28 2024 and many people are already cooking and preparing the house for guests. Thankfully we will go to a relatives house for a catered meal so no cooking! I will have time to do a little painting before we leave!

Welcome home, it’s so nice to have you back! People always amaze me by what they decide to say in their comments. As an artist, I take a lot of criticism with a grain of salt. Not that I’m super special, but I do recognize I have a talent and that I’m as good as I am. I know I’m not as talented as someone else, but I’m happy with my talent. People who are not an artist have no clue what it’s like to be one. For those people who criticize us, to me, they show their own ignorance and I’ve learned to laugh at them instead of taking it personally and be sad! I’m sure you do the same. Anyway, I’m rambling and I’m enjoying your video. I love these free form branches and the lovely greens in the leaves that you do. Painting and drawing leaves are my favorite! 🍃

Please dont take to heart these unkind comments. Just put them out of your mind, they are not worth dwelling on. You bring so much pleasure to would-be artists like myself.
