For people who don't know about Islam, they need to know that Islam is a religion for all mankind because the Prophet Muhammad Shollallahu 'alaihi wa sallam was a prophet sent to all mankind (see Al-Qur'an Surah 7 Al A'raf verse 158).
Allah has announced the arrival of the Prophet Muhammad shollallahu 'alaihi wa sallam to all the prophets and messengers sent by Allah. And Allah has taken the testimony of the Prophets and messengers to support and help the messengers who came to confirm what Allah has revealed to them (see Al-Qur'an Surah 3 Ali Imran verses 81-86). Therefore, Allah revealed the stories of the previous prophets and messengers contained in the Qur'an as confirmation of the position of the Prophet Muhammad shollallahu 'alaihi wa sallam as a messenger who came to confirm the teachings that Allah had revealed to the previous Prophets and messengers & the condition of their people at that time.
The stories of the previous prophets and messengers that Allah reported as in the Quran show the teachings that Allah has revealed to the previous prophets and messengers. As Allah mentioned the previous peoples (See Al Qur'an Surah 2. Al Baqarah verses 139-141; Surah 20 Taha verse 99).

Prophet Muhammad shollallahu 'alaihi wa sallam has been narrated to Prophet Musa alaihi wa sallam in the Book of the Torah and Prophet Isa bin Maryam alaihi wa sallam in the Book of the Bible (See Al-Qur'an Letter 7 Al A'raf verses 155-157).

Prophet Muhammad Shollallahu 'alaihi wa sallam was sent as a mercy to entire universe (see Al-Qur'an Surah 21 Al Anbiya verse 107). The Qur'an is a light for all mankind (see Al-Qur'an Surah 3 Ali 'Imran verse 138).
