If Roy Jones, in his prime, had fought in the same weight class as Floyd Mayweather, Mayweather would definitely have lost by KO.
He should have moved up to heavyweight and defeated John Ruiz before retiring, but it was a shame that all the gears went awry after he moved back to light heavyweight.

He was insanly quick and threw from odd angles, however not really a complete puncher.

So basically he got old and slow and stayed in the game too long. I think you should always quit while you're on top.

While my compatriots were blinded by the little Britain 'world title' fights between Eubank,Benn,Collins,Watson and Calzaghe I educated myself watching this genius.
Such a shame Jones Jr didn't put the vastly overrated Calzaghe in his place who only came out of his comfort zone and fought wolrd class fighters once they were well passed their prime (Hopkins and Jones Jr.)

Pre 34 & the weight fluctuations, I never saw anyone better. At middleweight/super middleweight Even all time greats like Tony & Hopkins were totally outclassed.
But a hands low, high dependence on head & foot movement & explosiveness style is for the young.

Actually, Shakur is real for warning my fellow Dominican 🇩🇴 Edwin about Newark. In my eyes, he was actually looking out for him, staying downtown, Newark N J is no mutha fn joke. Dudes get popped for fun, then comes super star Edwin to the hood.... You from Chi-Town , you know what time it is. Actually lightweight great Tony Canozeri was part of the Bonanoo Family Lightweight great Abe Attell was gangster Hector Camacho died off some gangster cr@p in Puerto 🇵🇷 Rico, while Gangster Vince the Chin was a boxer, and actually before going to Chicago, Brooklyn s own Big AL Capone boxed ameutur, so they do overlap. BOXERS ARE THE BEST MUSCLE BESIDE A BIG OL LINEBACKER. KEVIN WEEKS A GLODEN GLOVES BOXER WAS WHITEY BULGERS MAIN MUSCLE, RED OSHEA FROM BOSTON. WAS A PROMISING BOXING PROSPECT. BEFORE HE BECAME GANGSTA, STAY ON THE STRAIGHT AND NARROW LIKE MICKEY SCREAMED AT ROCKY BALBOA WHEN ROCKY TOLD HIM MAKING LOAN SHARK PICK UPS WAS A LIVING. ITS NOT A. LIFE!!!!!@@@!!@
