Great response
ОтветитьW Giannis ❤
ОтветитьThe part when he said, You take care of your parents..that’s some something that the reporter doesn’t agree to because in this country Senior care takes care of them instead of the kids.
Ответить"it was 15 years of failure? Thats what you're telling me"? What a strong statement.
ОтветитьU messed with messi and he messed you up u shouldn't have done the Sui if u wanted to give this explanation idiot.😂
ОтветитьGreat speech but not a fair response. The truth is the season was a failure.
Ответитьi wish they asked russ this question.
bro wouldve had the most perplexed look
I’m not crying, you’re crying!
ОтветитьMan. Giannis is keeping it 💯and I’m loving his energy!!!
ОтветитьThe question was out of pocket for sure but this was no inspirational speech like everyone says it is. Milwaukee is the 6th 1 seed to go out in the first round, and they were the title favorites, this season is definitely a failure…
ОтветитьIf Jordan wouldn’t have loss those beginning years it might’ve never fueled him to become the player he became. I’m one of the ppl who believes nothing is failure, it’s always did u learn? Did u grow? Life is precious and our greatest teacher.
ОтветитьGiannis could say our playoff was the failure but the season is not a failure because we’re the number 1 in the east.
ОтветитьI'm not a Bucks fan, but moments like this have made me a Giannis fan. I've watched this interview dozens of times over the past month because this message applies to all facets of life. Success is a process. Not reaching your goals is part of being successful. Avoiding that process and taking the quick and easy path rarely leads to meaningful and sustained success.
He's angry, disappointed, tired, injured, and incredibly agitated by this reporter's question which is little more than bait. So many complex emotions and feelings going on but Giannis is still able to provide a thoughtful answer without letting his emotions take over. That's incredible discipline for someone his age and it shows people that there is always a human side to sports. Too many people think athletes owe them something, so they treat them like circus monkeys that need to bend to their will. These are human beings doing a job by playing a game. There are more important things in life than your occupation. I love how Giannis gives this heartfelt answer while he's clearly frustrated but still has the presence of mind to respect the person asking the question. The apology at the end made me chuckle because it totally encapsulates who Giannis is as a person. We need more Giannis's in our society.
Decent answer but it is a failure
ОтветитьPretty wise response for a young man that seems to be a very reasonable, humble and likeable person overall... good luck in the future.
ОтветитьI understand where he’s coming from, but you were the first seed against an eight seed. You and your team failed to get past them. In my opinion, failure is inevitable and you failed to live up to expectations. I understand that he was injured in Games 1 through 3, but still, you need to understand that this season was a massive failure, but it doesn’t mean he can’t come back from it.
ОтветитьThe right question: given that you all were the number 1 seed, how high were the expectations for a championship run this year and how disappointing was it to exit in the first round given those expectations?
Also/secondary: what do you think is the pulse of Bucks fans given that you all were the number one seed? Any message to them after the first round exit?
Giannis is a goat for how he handled this.
Burning down the reporter's house without setting fire to it. The velvet hammer, as it were. Nicely done..
ОтветитьWow,Giannis really beat down that question. he really flipped it on that guy. there can be no better answer than that how he explained it
ОтветитьGiannis sound like a teacher fr 😂 but he speaking facts 💯
ОтветитьSuch a small minded question. NBA media is trash. ESPN most notably.
ОтветитьMicheal Jordan never lost to the 8th seed in the first round
ОтветитьGreat response..love it
ОтветитьLooking back at what Giannis said, I agree that there are steps to success and you may not accomplish your goals every year, it still doesn’t make this season not a failure. It was a complete failure as the number 1 seed lost to the 8th seed. Even though it was a failure, it doesn’t mean all the work was for nothing.
ОтветитьI call bs
ОтветитьA beautiful and stunning response. It reminds me of Teddy Rosevelts speech that he gave at the Sorbonne in about 1914? "the Man in the Arena". bk
ОтветитьBeautiful. Into the archives of history.
ОтветитьThis is an intelligent and classy man-- we all need to listen to him. It's a shame the whiny, immature Klay Thompsons, egotistical Steph Currys and simple minded Draymond Greens of the sports world can't be this insightful, influential and admirable.
ОтветитьOh my god ohhhhhhg 😂😂😂😂
ОтветитьThis guy is the real face of the NBA. LeBron is a divisive racist.
ОтветитьIn my quote book. “There are steps to Success.”
ОтветитьSuch a soft cake. Dude makes 40mil a year. Unlike people playing ballgame in the park. You a pro athlete getting paid that much to WIN the title. period.
ОтветитьDont call him the greek freak anymore. Call him one the Greek philosopher 😊
ОтветитьThis is the most Greek response you could ask for!
Ответитьthey didn’t fail they just loose
ОтветитьAlways liked his demeanor. Great response. Crazy how he still apologizes. Didn't have to. But shows what kind of man he is
ОтветитьThe fact that they’ve now fired their coach shows that it was a failure. You don’t get fired if there wasn’t a failure. Giannis is a liar and an actor.
ОтветитьRespect to Giannis on maintaining his stance, coolness and humility. And for defining success and failure to success in just 2 minutes. Learn that kiddos.
ОтветитьPutting this here for when it blows back up in a couple years.
ОтветитьGiannis shouldn't have apologized for nothing. Besides, this, "reporter", asked a stupid question, and deserved to get checked. If anything, Giannis was too nice😤
ОтветитьGreat answer to a very tough question!😂
ОтветитьWell every basketball pro player who already can enjoy their life, getting paid with huge amount for doing something they love. It looks like a complete success to me. When they lose, its just like an everyday problem we face while doing our job. Nice answer..
ОтветитьLegendary response, so respectful and so much wisdom and perspective here
Ответить👏👏👏
ОтветитьEmotion intelligence on 10,000
ОтветитьIt’d be a failure if they didn’t try. In order to succeed u must fail
ОтветитьSuch an inspiration!
ОтветитьPeople said Giannis shouldn't win the MVP because he has great teammates at his disposal. What did his teammates do when he was injured these playoffs. The only one worth complementing is Brooke. The coach himself needs to go. Love you lots Giannis!!
ОтветитьAm I the only one who doesnt agree? The analogies are bad.
Not winning a championship (MJ reference), doesnt equal failure far from it.
However, you can have deception or mitigatwd succes (losing in finals for example)
But finish 1st and losing 4-1 in the first round is clearly a failure in professional sport! By definition itself it is a failure, his speech is for the elementary school.
Being his teammates or the Bucks owner I would be offended by his words.
