For future reference encase you ever want to build a floor plan to scale in the sims. Sims grid squares are 2 foot by 2 foot. So for the Sims twin bed that covers 1 x 3 tiles, it would be 2 foot by 6 foot irl. So like the bedroom in this floor plan you're using today would be 5 x 4 tiles to be as close to the floor plan as possible ^_^

This floor plan is very realistic. Where I’m from it would be flipped though, so the mud room is the main entrance. I guess it’s common in many countries where its common to take off one’s shoes at the door. I’m thinking Scandinavia and Japan. You don’t want wet or snowy boots inside. Too messy. 😅

I’m a newer simmer and even I want to see something different. I’ve seen some variation of this house so many times in the few months I’ve been watching. You’re an amazing builder, stretch those building muscles and walk away from the blue suburban 😩

This is amusingly close to an irl floorplan I helped work on a few years back. Squares gunna square, I guess x'D On moving a door once it's already put into place, it's not actually super difficult, just time consuming and financially annoying, not because it's obscenely expensive, but because there's the tedious costs of:
-The door (hopefully you don't damage it)
-The initial drywall
-Labor for initial door+drywall install
-Labor for safely removing the door and destroying the drywall you just put up in the door's new location
-Brand new drywall to cover up the door's old location
-Labor for door and drywall reinstallation
Granted, this is assuming that you wait to change your mind on door locations until after the drywall is up, instead of while the whole building is still gutted and ready for anything.

Tbh it's becoming really hard to enjoy Kayla's vids, especially when she wants to "recreate" a floor plan but then spends the entire video not recreating it. Obvs a mud room isn't super useful in the Sims but lots of us love stuff like that!

And PLEASEEEEE use more packs! We're dying here! It's the same stuff over and over again. When she said it would be a tiny home and then didn't use Tiny Living I wanted to scream.

Big fan but please, try to use some of the amazing packs we've gotten. Doesn't need to be every video, just at least a couple of times a week!

Not gonna lie. A LOT of tiny homes start at around $50K (I saw one that was less than 500ft² for a quarter million...it was a tow along). You could probably give yourself a little more room in the budget.

Simsie even stated five minutes in she would stick to the floor plan then immediately changes the whole bathroom. I think I can speak for a lot of us when I say we want expansion pack inclusive builds. Stop doing blue basic starter homes. It’s not interesting to watch anymore.

Hey lilsimsie, I'm one day late and I apologize for that, but I wanna say something that I noticed.

I'm sure you noticed that in your older videos (like from 2 years ago), there were a tons of comments saying you criticized yourself too much and it's annoying. Personally I did notice that too but didn't think it ruins the videos. Maybe I'm biased tho because I used to have the same problem where I would make a lot of self deprecating comments about myself, even jokes. Regardless, I still enjoyed your videos.

However, that gave me an idea to go this video, one of the most recent ones to compare, and a HUGE growth is definitely visible. You're not constantly criticizing yourself anymore, you're focusing more on talking about things that you like and it makes me so happy! I understand how hard it was to have a bunch of people saying how your self deprecation was annoying and that you should change it, but I'm happy you worked on that, because it was personally healthy for me. It was difficult at first because I was defensive and didn't wanna get rid of my "humor" but my friends were right, I needed to do it. Now I do feel better about myself because when you think positively about yourself, things you do tend to appear better as well.

I'm sorry if this was a long comment. I just find myself really relating to you (plus the fact we're close in age and I had really worrying insecurities when younger), and I just wanna give you some nice compliments and positive things I noticed about you. Please keep up the good work, you're an amazing builder and as an artist who's looking to improve her background skills, I strive to have such great skills and visions like yours!

An inappropriate amount of rage rushed through me when the bathroom called for cabinets and Simsie just put a stand-alone sink in the middle of the space. Sort of off topic but I don't really like the stand-alone sinks in the sims. Most houses have cabinets with a sink built-in so it just feels weird to me to decide to go for the ugliest option in my opinion.

Challenge idea I would love to see: build a house how you normally would, any style any size any budget. But you CANNOT use the keyboard at all. With the only exception of using bb.moveobjects and other build cheats (like debug). But no keybinds. No WASD, no arrow keys, no <> to rotate, and no alt placing. Play the game and do a build with only the mouse, it should be possible.

I always put laptop or computers on the island bar top and could of put a trash can in the bathroom. Sims always eat on the couch anyways and they can still sit in that spot on the island and eat. Also could of used counters in the bathroom to take up more space and make it look more luxurious, like a master bath.

I also love looking at floor plans. I have re-created many in the Sims. I have learned to round the sizes to the nearest yard (sometimes smaller than intended, usually larger). I have them saved in my personal gallery, so I can use them for my Sims.

You could have put a desk at the back of the sofa. I sometimes do that in my builds if I don't have much space. Also you can scoot the sofa a bit closer to the tv and the sims still have room to walk around it.

the way people comment on Kayla's videos is almost always so rude, I don't get it. If you don't like the things she builds, then maybe just *don't watch her videos*.
So what if she's been building all base game? it just went free and a lot more people have begun to play the game. and they only have the base game and the free holiday pack. if you don't like it, make your own builds
