This leader is speaking shit. You know why? He used the wrong translation in the bible when Paul Said father. 1 Corinthians 4:15 original verse says : 15 For though ye have ten thousand instructers in Christ, yet have ye not many fathers: for in Christ Jesus I have begotten you through the gospel.

And yet the Catholic Church is pagan in all that it does and that from a person who believes of the early church , before the corrupt Nicean consul .

A person can be a member of any church and not be born again. Does a person have the indwelling Holy Spirit? Are they a new creature in Christ?

You see the Eastern Orthodox churches reuniting with Rome not Rome reuniting with Constantinople and Moscow. Submit Rome schismatics. If you’re not in communion with Rome you broke away from the true church. Period. Because you’re denying a divine institution by Christ the papacy. You are then by default NOT IN 100% communion with Jesus Christ.

I was raised Roman Catholic but I am interested in becoming orthodox. Not many where I live and the only one I know of is a front for bingo . That’s not a joke either it’s packed for bingo but never any service goin on in there!

I would like to share a bit of my story to anyone who would like to read, I am 22 going to be 23 this year and so far I have done very little with my life and find little to no enjoyment in it, at the beginning of 2022 I tried to take my own life and I’ve struggled to function in society almost entirely my whole life thus far, I’ve almost never liked anything I do unless it was a distraction from reality, I joined the military after high school looking for a place, I don’t think I belong there and I have always felt alone, and believed I don’t belong in existence, but maybe through Orthodoxy I’m not alone, I’m not sure, I’ve only just discovered Orthodoxy, but it has given me things to reflect on.

I get that the old churches have a long history. The thing is, they were led by humans. We all sin. Perhaps the founders led a good example and worshippedproperly, but throughout time, it wouldn't suprise me if satan has corrupted the churches people. Which is why I prefer to follow the word of god(bible) before anything.

I am an atheist, but i appreciate his honesty when he says:"The church came first". It is something i usually point out at people speaking about the "Word of God". What your God's Word had been established by the Council of Rome (AD 382), the Synod of Hippo (AD 393) and two of the Councils of Carthage (AD 397 and 419). A group of people sat down and decided that the Gospel of Saint John was indeed the Word of God, but Saint Thomas' wasn't. They both written around the same period, and no one was considered more historically accurate than the other. The choice was theological.

My question to the Orthodox father would be: since you acknowledge a group of people decided what is the word of God and what it isn't, what makes you believe that they were correct? Most believers (although i have to say, i have spoken mostly with catholics and protestants) usually say:"It's written in the Bible, it is the Word of God". But since we both agree the canon was established by the Church, we are left but nothing but a principle of authority. Why do you accept it?

Ok, then WHAT DID Jesus mean when he said to call no man father, because only God is our Father?
Obviously we may rightly call our earthly father "father". But as for spiritual elders being called by "father": no, spiritually doing that diminishes our feeling of God himself being our true and only spiritual Father.
Man likes being looked at as spiritually above others...but we have a "direct line" to the heavenly Father above...hold to that.

Yes, true. Even other Roman Catholics don't know how to defend themselves when they are asked and challenged that question if they have a Church long time ago? Because most of the Christian Denominations specifically Protestants or Atheists would say that there was no Church existed. But they are wrong! The first Church was not originally called “the Holy Apostolic orthodox church”. “Orthodox” means “traditionally accepted”. As for “apostolic”, all churches and denominations that subscribe to bible teaching claim to be apostolic or apostolic-ly inspired. While traditional practice allows for reliable teaching, it is written that the word of Bible has sufficient teaching for our salvation. If anything is to contradict the bible, or add unto it’s teaching, it is to be anathema. If we believe that the Bible is the accurate inspired word of God, and God does NOT make mistakes, then it is also good to note that the word of God supersedes the traditions of man. Our walk with God is more than religious ritual, but moreso, a relationship. Even as a Protestant, I do not believe that Orthodox and Catholic members are beyond affirming this, but if we are all called to believe the inspired word of God in the bible, I believe there is warning about seeking tradition as a priority over the word of God. God brought us the bible as the love letter for humanity.

Everyone should ask themselves: is the bible the most sound foundation for how we ought to live for God?. If the answer is “no”, then I invite those who answer “no” for written documentation older than scripture to affirm this.

But my evidence to you is:
Deuteronomy 4:2, and Galatians 1:8 and am curious to why you think these two verses would or would not be applicable.

When Jesus rebutted the devil, he began each rebuke with what is written, not what the rabbis or the synagogue said. He also didn't ask Satan who gave him that psalm he quoted. So even the example of Jesus proves this gentleman wrong.
When Paul urged Timothy to devote himself to public reading of scripture, Timothy didn't ask him if the scriptures or the church came first.
