So I see your palette of colors….do you tube dump some color in each tiny well? Does it dry out or stay paste liquid or do you cover it with wrap to retain moisture? These are extra questions that some may wonder! Also what are you mixing the paint on?
ОтветитьI have seen a lot of watercolor videoes lately - this was one of the best!
ОтветитьThank you soo much, one of the best tutorial to watch, I loved it
ОтветитьDo you have to do a wet wash? I use 300 gsm paper and it always seems as though I'm using too much water? Can I get the same effect without doing a wet wash?
ОтветитьThanks for this tutorial, Matthew! Question: are your paints in your palette pre-activated (did you dab them with water before dipping your brush in them?) one thing I find hard is getting enough pigment onto the middle/mixing part of my palette, especially with those brushes that hold a lot of water. Any tips? Just subscribed :)
ОтветитьHow is your paper still so wet after 15+ minutes? I'm using 100% cotton paper and can let it soak in a vat of water over night and it's dry 10 minutes later. Perhaps I live in a much drier area than you. Any suggestions on how to work around this without having to rush too much?
ОтветитьHow do you get your edges so beautifully deckled from the start of your painting? Thank you!
ОтветитьI can't really see the drawing because the pencil marks are too light.
ОтветитьI loved painting this and it would not have come out nearly as well without all of your help. Thank you so much, you are very talented, I love your work. Please do more of the "small and simple" as you call them.
ОтветитьI like your style of teaching. I am new and anxious to paint something to enjoy. I would like to know before I start watching a specific video, what colors you will be using. Perhaps you could have them in a note below so I can prepare. Also, you said you were using an Escoda brush but did not say which Escoda. You did mention the size but not which line of Escoda. Also, you did state that the colors are listed, however, I could not find them. You could also list what supplies would be best to have so I can follow along better. Thank you
ОтветитьThank you for the tips... I am so, so new to this all. Thank you for letting me know when to let it dry. I have watched others and they don't let me know they have let their paper dry. I continue on and find myself with mud on my paper. I am going to watch this one over again and give it a try. This is great and you are very inspiring . I can do this. 😄
ОтветитьMatt, This video is very helpful to me. Thank you so very much for this clear, step by step demonstration!
ОтветитьThank you for that demo. I am impressed with how you teach and with the final 3d effect on the hay bale and your brushstrokes. I have so much to learn so how do I go about more lessons with you?
ОтветитьThank you so much for your tutorials and all of our great tips! I just started watercolour this week and have been watching so many of our videos. They are unbelievably helpful. My paintings are not terrible!
ОтветитьThanks!

ОтветитьMany thanks for this great workshop! This helps me to get ahead and make progress in myprojects. I really like the way they show and explain it!
ОтветитьI love your demonstrations in the slow and patient where you go about explaining these techniques. I am so thankful to have come across your channel! Thank you!
ОтветитьThanks for your video. I have a question how come after many layers of the blues, your paper is still damp. Did you add some water before you start to build another layer of blue sky? thanks
ОтветитьWas the sky wet when you added the final blue areas? Your edges were soft.
ОтветитьHi,is your board tilted
ОтветитьThank you very much for your work. The video and comments you make of the process are as good as the watercolor you have painted.
ОтветитьThank you Matthew! That was a fantastic tutorial !
ОтветитьMy mother is a watercolor painter and I’ve always wished I could paint. I never actually watched her process but after watching you for some time I decided to try. It is so helpful to watch from beginning to end. I never realized that there is a method. Working from light color to the more defining darker tones is such an interesting concept to me.
ОтветитьThank you!!! I really loved this one ..
Ответитьvery ordinary .unimpressive

ОтветитьHow to make hard work out of a simple process. A sky only takes 5 minutes (at most) to complete.
ОтветитьAmazing video and thanks for sharing so much
ОтветитьI like your descriptions as you paint
