Were there books when John wrote Revelation? I thought they wrote in scrolls back then. Revelation 1 speaks of a book rather than a scroll.

I see people here praising Derek Prince instead of praising the Lord. It was the Spirit of Jesus, the Christ, that changed Derek from being a pride filled Greek scholar to being the humble teacher of the word of God that he became.
The old time teachers of the word that had that life changing experience by the Spirit of God and received that anointing to teach seem to be gone now. People like Prince spoke of things of their own experience. They knew the Lord, not just about Him.
We need to pray for God to raise up new apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers (Ephesians 4:11-13) anointed and empowered by the Holy Spirit of God ‘to prepare the saints for works of service so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity of the faith and the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature (spiritually) attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.’ That is God’s intention for the saints….not to sit in a pew once or twice a week being given milk and never growing up spiritually. Is this the way the saints want it? Do they prefer not to be bothered by the ministry of the Holy Spirit that the ministers of the past honored? Too much bother having to use the “sword of the Spirit which is the word of God AND praying at all times with ALL kinds of prayer and supplication in the spirit”?? The Holy Spirit is not given a minute to manifest his mighty works in most church services today. He does not fit into the schedule, which is why we live in the time of a powerless church.
It is a sad state that the body of Christ is in today and no wonder that the dominion of darkness is running rampant in a once Christian nation. Too busy fighting each other rather than uniting in prayer against the true enemy! The devil rejoices to see those who say that they are believers fighting and insulting each other rather than using the armor of God and the weapons God gave us to use with it to silence the enemy and keep him out of our churches and out of our families!
People always look at wars and rumors of wars as the major sign of the end times but those things have happened ever since mankind began multiplying on the earth. Jesus said that these things must come but the end is not yet! The love of many will grow cold! Many will be offended! That is what we are seeing today in even the churches that call themselves Christian. Many leaving the faith! Most of the denominational churches have denied the word of God and embraced the sins of this age such as homosexuality and abortion.
When we started up a crisis pregnancy center in our city it was the ministers of the major churches of the area that fought against us the most! Some had even helped to start up abortion clinics in other areas! We are far down the road to destruction when denominations that began in the Spirit are now working for the dominion of darkness!
God is love. He does not want us fighting each other. He wants unity of the faith of those who truly believe. Only walking by the spirit will we accomplish anything for the Kingdom of Jesus, the Christ. We cannot walk by that new born from above spirit unless we walk in the love of God which is supposed to be poured into the hearts of those who call out to the Lord to be saved. If you cannot love your brother that you can see then how can you love the God that you cannot see?

I can't thank God enough for leading me to this gift to His children! His way and approach was timeless! His interpretation was truly heaven sent and fueled with the Holy Spirit!
