Decoction making in this video is not correct. We have to put coffee powder above the perforated device to stop the entry of coffee powder inside the decoction.

Learnt a lot about filter coffee. A friend sent me a kit from South India. I am using it now. Really nice.

3 questions
1. What is the size of your filter coffee press? 200/250 ml?
2. I also saw that you can make it by boiling method where you boil water, put in coffee powder, turn off flame and let it soak. Does it taste the same?
3. Is it worth it to buy the filter coffee press or can we make it by lining tea strainer with cloth and pour water over it?

Filter coffee is enjoyable if made at home. St hotel it's just normal coffee without taste. Your video is really fantastic dnd shows simple way to make filter coffee.

i bought kumbakonam coffee for this purpose, but unfortunately its a very fine grind, nearly like turkish, so it falls right thru the holes....had to make w/paper filter
