Back in 2017, I was a student of the father of the soldier who made the shot. The first morning he came in after talking to his son, he just went on for 30 min about how proud he was but couldn't talk about it! He was already pretty crazy on a regular basis but after that, he just kept refering to himself and all of us as King Cobras. We were studying car mechanics and he was doing monolgues about doing cocaine on the dashboard before his classes. Greatest teacher ever, Daniel KingCobra.

My cousin was a member of JTF2. They are great warriors. They do what they do for peace . Cousin was also a sniper ... he recently retired and now trains military personnel. ❤

Also a .50 cal round leaves the barrel at about 2905 fps, a SLAP round can push this as high as 4000fps... I know it takes about 3.8 seconds for a .50 cal to go 2000 yards (6000ft) but it would continue decelerating until it hit the target. So about 10 seconds sounds crazy (count it out in "mississippis") but that is probably how long it took between squeezing the round off, and the insurgeant going "PIFFFFFFF" all over the walls of the room.

Where is the video on the physics of the sniper kill because it’s literally impossible from the video I saw a few years ago when it first happened even with the scope max now he would’ve had him lay 150 feet above the target even with a wedge placed in between the scope and the rifle, pointing the scope down words the target would’ve been half visible at the bottom of the scope. It’s literally impossible shot. It’s like a hell Mary from 3 miles away.

He was using American ammunition because his Canadian ammunition ran out, and the only reason he hit the target was because of the American ammunition flew much further than the Canadian ammunition

Tac50s suck. It isn't portable enough because it requires a heavy duty butt stop to be 'accurate'. So when you need to reposition it isnt functional.

They look for special enhanced vision. I didn't have it but others do and some in my group of friends do.

The numbers listed here are a trick and are too short anyway to require such vision.

When I was there, Cf people were never really on board to carry out such tasks and would shake more than other people in the group before anything happened.

I was always surprised and underwhelmed by this.

They said the numbers that were posted for records for the longest sniper shots would be Canadian since the people who made the longest shots using this tech (ultrasonic rifles) within our Allie group were Canadian.

Sigh I was the lowest because I was sick the first time and the second time I wasn't into it. I already crushed the records and so did my friends vs the ones posted at the time by a great distance.

I truly love the Barrett but McMillan precision is hard to beat... As other people have mentioned, the spotter doing the computing / math / calculations should be given just as much respect as the man on the primary optic and trigger. Kudos to both of them.. When the round hits, there's a Red Mist and Violent Jolt of his Body, and a Long Red SPLAT!
