Ответить32 years old I spent all my money from my 20s and 30s in my 20s. Got my debt discharged and starting fresh feels great. But like you said it's not a decision that should be made lightly
ОтветитьI have a house and a car I just want to get out of the debt and the stupid car I co-signed for
ОтветитьI make pretty good money but owe way too much in cc debt and a car I co-signer for. I’m hoping they’ll let me declare bankruptcy. Not sure f I should stop paying and have the cc offer settlements to pay them off
ОтветитьPlease can you give me information of this lawyer
ОтветитьI want to file but I have student loan debt....
ОтветитьIn my case I didn’t do anything “wrong”. Except maybe marry the wrong person. Sometimes you just get into a hole and have to start over. Right now I spend more than I make, which is really sad because I have a great job. Things happen and sometimes you just need to hit life’s reset button.
ОтветитьWhat if you have no assets and will chapter 7 effect you from renting apartments?
ОтветитьI was actually able to include my old student loan. But only because i refinanced it years prior.
We didn't think it was going to be able to be discharged. But it was showing on my report as receiving some of my asset money that i paid in and because of that i didn't make any further arrangements and decided to wait and see if they reach out to me to collect.
So far they have not contacted me and I've been discharged for a few months now.
I filed for chapter 7 and i felt good. Not having 55k over my head as a father was everything. Paying $1600 a month and $900 of that going to interest was not it.
ОтветитьI’d love to ask some questions as I’m in the process of starting the process.
Ответитьthanks for the advice my friend! Good luck with all your goals in the future.
ОтветитьGreat video.
ОтветитьThanks for the help
ОтветитьDuring that process do you have to close all your credit cards or can you keep on open.
ОтветитьThey changed the bankruptcy laws it harder to get a ch.7 now
They force you into a ch. 13 repayment plan.
How many bankruptcy did The ex-president DT file? And this guy still claims his soo rich. Unbelievable.
ОтветитьHiii I been filed for chapter 7 back in 2018, I want to be able to boost my credit score I’m like at a 630+ but I’m in my 30 living in Miami looking to buy a house or rent a decent apartment any advice?? 😊
ОтветитьWhy is there such a stigma attached to filing bankruptcy? Corporations and businesses file too they only call it Restructuring
ОтветитьDon't feel like a "failure" - nearly every celebrity, singer, actor has filed bankruptcy (Larry King, 50 Cent, Burt Reynolds, George Clinton, Chris Tucker, Willie Nelson, Randy Travis, Don Johnson, Corey Haim, to name a few). Even Donald Trump has filed multiple times, and said, "A, I'm just playing by the rules written by the government."
ОтветитьBankruptcy is a gift to start over release commitment. Ask any corporation.
ОтветитьNative Americans believe this is hell, where you learn your lessons. Get em right and u go to heaven, don't get it and you keep coming back.
ОтветитьLike gambling at the Lottery.
Ответить"I love you ma!"😆😆😆
ОтветитьIn my case, I don't have student loans or child support payments. I do unfortunately owe the IRS but it's not terrible. However I am faced with having to file Chapter 7 bankruptcy. My credit is already toast. Therefore I do get to keep my car I'm making payments for. That's how I get back and forth to work. I'm willing to do what it takes to just start fresh.
ОтветитьThank you for acknowledging your life experiences that many of us soon may face.! Respect is my recipt and always have that mind set ready to solve for X, balance can be hard to overcome during life's sages.we make mistakes & learn, thank you again.📜✍️
ОтветитьThank you for sharing your story! Fixing to start the process and im there with you on the feelings, im feeling them now !
ОтветитьNo they cannot take your cash lol. You can exempt up to 17,000, which cash can fall into that category. Your cash, up to $17k+ is exempt.
ОтветитьHow is Japan treating you? I think its so cool that youre there instead of the US. Many are leaving the US
ОтветитьThank you for this video. I appreciate the honesty.
ОтветитьGreat story bro. Keep up the great work. Dont build your wealth and let a woman through you off you path or take what you have through thr court system. Bit of red pill goes a long way. Stay blessed
ОтветитьYou sat in front of a Judge. Yes.
ОтветитьIf I file, can I still my car I’m paying a note on??
ОтветитьAll the attorneys are quoting me at $2500 bankruptcy fee
ОтветитьExcellent video.
ОтветитьYou are never ever a failure if you file for bankruptcy! I'm about to do it and I'm loving myself in the process ❤
ОтветитьJust did it in November of 2023. I was able to get rid of 30,000 old debt from credit cards. I am a teacher too. In the summer, I was living off my credit cards. I was struggling to pay everything, especially after the pandemic prices went up. I paid 2000 dollars because I went through with an attorney. I was on a payment plan, but when I got my taxes, I paid the rest off. I was happy I didn't have to go to court but was able to meet on a Zoom call.I got my discharge papers back in June. I am happy it's over. My credit score went up.
ОтветитьHow long did you go with an awful credit score?
How did it work with your teaching job or did you quit that around the same time you filed?
I declared chapter 7.. my credit score went from 410 to 700 overnight hahah..best thing ever. I was able to get a car while in the chapter 7 :) this is the best thing I ever did in my life
ОтветитьAmazing video! Thank you brother!
ОтветитьI just received my discharge letter. Official on 7/21/23. Your video was very inspirational and helped me through it. Thank you so much.
ОтветитьMy friend filed bankruptcy and she started getting credit cards left and right right after
ОтветитьI’m about to file for it myself. For a few years now I have been trying to keep my head above water with keeping up with my payments. Unfortunately I ended up with about 5 credit cards all maxed out. And I have made no progress with the interest and not being able to give more than the minimum. Well, lately I have been getting several off and on lay offs which obviously has disrupted my ability to make payments. I have missed one credit, one led to 3, and now by the end of this month I’ll have made no payments to all 5 credit cards. And I just came of a a 2 week layoff, unemployment pay hasn’t deposited yet and I am $150 over drawn. And still more layoffs to come. So yeah, bankruptcy is a sweet escape at this point. This is all a blessing in disguise. Because I have been so fixated on having good credit and building it up, relying on it for a good future when all along I should have been relying on God. To God be the glory!
ОтветитьCouldn't your filed yourself without a lawyer? Do you know all that money just comes out of your account in the treasury department the money that they collected for all of your birth certificate money I got to do is pay everything off with that use a 1099A and a 1099C it'll come out of your treasury account there's a trust account in the bank for you to get your money out of
ОтветитьExactly how I feel.
ОтветитьDude filed bankruptcy and ran to Japan....
ОтветитьThank you for this video

ОтветитьI just made an appointment to see the bankruptcy lawyer for consultation. Hope things go good. My mother filed for bankruptcy and she has to wait ten years.
ОтветитьI went bankrupt and I never felt like a failure. Especially because it was medical debt I could not afford at the time, but that was years ago and I have rebuilt and now have a home.
The man who reviewed my case didn't judge me at all. He actually seemed bored...lol
