I don't understand why many can recommend the Logitech MX 2S for CAD. The click of the wheel is incredibly hard...
I returned the mouse after 2 days of embarrassment. I'm much more efficient with a cheap 10 year old cable mouse that has a soft click on the wheel...
That's a CAD staple for me. And I can get rid of all the extra buttons...
Problem is also wight. Cad mouse is also too heavy i think...
Unfortunately, I've had terrible reliability on the wired 3D Connexion cadmouse, had both click actuator and scroll wheel failure. I'm on my third warranty replacement and now it's starting to have scrolling issues again. The good thing is that the company support is great, I'm just getting tired dealing with warranty. I might invest in a newer version and ditch the old one. needless to say, it's my favorite mouse for 2D/3D design work. Thanks for the review
ОтветитьWhat is this product 😊😊
ОтветитьThanks for the video, one of the best reviews on this subject which actually compares it to other popular mice!
ОтветитьHi everyone, I recently purchased the SteelSeries Rival 3 mouse, and I'm extremely satisfied with it, especially with the soft click on the scroll wheel. It works really well for CAD. Best regards. Let's see how long it lasts.
ОтветитьFor the price I have nothing but disdain for Logitech mice. I've tried many over the years and while some work well for a time they all end up with mechanical failure or don't work well from the beginning. Absolutely avoid! I am excited about your 3D connexion recommendation, this looks like what I am looking for!
ОтветитьI have an older Logitech track man mouse. I wish it had a scroll wheel for easy zooming on CAD models.
ОтветитьThe best mice for Architects, Desingers, and Creators and Blender is 2in1.Hybridmouse (leadr&master3 or g903&master2s). i made 2in1.hybrid l-V ...
ОтветитьFor 25 years in the world of 2D and 3D design and about a hundred mice that I have tested, my recommendation would be: Delux M910 (wired only, no longer on sale) and White Shark MIYAMOTO. The buttons above and below the thumb proved to be the most practical feature (it would be perfect to have another button for the index finger, next to the wheel). In addition, the ergonomics and functionality of these mice is what suits me. Let's face it, these are not high-quality mice, but even after 5 years they still work as well as they did on day one.
ОтветитьGot a G604 Logitech mouse today. Just boxed it up to return it. Sticking to my cheap ones.
ОтветитьHow can you compare mice for professionals without mentioning the Switftpoint Z / Swiftpoint Creator? :)
THEY have the best customization Software out there and you can use your Design and Architect-Tools without moving your hand away from your mouse.
I didn't like MX Master and Ancler, to be honest, is a nightmare regarding accuracy. can you recommend any mouse with a middle button that is not hard on your fingers and does not broke after a few months? Btw the middle mouse button was a concept from the late 80s on Amiga mices.
ОтветитьThank you for this video!
As an architect it really really helpful <3
Would you recommend 3dconnexion cadmouse instead of MX vertical?
I had mx master 3 and also MX Ergo and MS master 2 (yes, I am logi freak) generally I use MX3 for cad 3ds max revit, archicad photoshop etc.
I really look for comfortable mouse to have goodwork and increase my productivity. Should I prefer 3dconnexion (I have seen you love its middle button and software) is it really better than MX3 ? Can you say worth for it?
My employer purchased the 3DConnexion CadMouse for it's staff and unfortunately its far too heavy for long usage, weighing in at whopping 110g. At this weight you will get wrist strain, almost unavoidable. Factor in the nonreplacable battery, micro USB and the cost, it's hard to recommend for most people.
I personally use the Logitech G305, fitted with a AAA battery, which weighs in under 80g. The G305 is highly accurate (massive DPI range), has customizable buttons, great size for most people (I have quite big hands), good for people with a claw/finger grip and costs under £40 if you shop around.
My advice is to pay attention to weight, all of the mice shown in this review are far too heavy in my opinion. Once you use a very light mouse, you will never go back to anything over 80g.

Ответитьlove your vids, its nice to finally see like minded people with the same issues haha
ОтветитьI use a razer naga with a full numpad on the thumb. I just assigned Backspace, enter, desktop... so most basic commands in order to mainly prevent my right hand to move to the keyboard. In my point of view, best mouse!
ОтветитьI wouldn't recommend the 3dconnexion CadMouse. I bought one and it only lasted about 6 months before the scroll wheel started having issues. You can only connect bluetooth to one computer at a time, very frustrating when you use a laptop and home and a desktop at work.. I tossed it out and bought a logitech mx anywhere 3. Much better mouse. Better feel, you can connect three computers and switch between the three and it's USB C for charging.
ОтветитьWhat mouse would you suggest for my architect drafting class? We will be using autocad and revit as our main programs. I’m just looking for
Something affordable and good👍
which keyboard do you suggesting buying for arch students:) nice video by the way
Ответитьi really like using mouse gaming because that mouse really good and comfortable and big mouse
Ответить⚠️🤔Not a single mention about the scroll wheel qualities whatsoever. Non bueno.
ОтветитьI personally would recommend a good wireless gaming mouse that is marketed as light weight. Using a light mouse on a good mousepad is just next level in terms of precision and effortless modeling.
ОтветитьGaming Mouse !
A G600 Gaming Mouse has 20 Programable Buttons for Hotkey Shortcut Combinations !!!
Check them out, and join me here in the Future ! ~lol
Nice Video though, just Reviewing outdated Tech...
(Seriously, you'll Double your Speed).
what would be a good mouse for 20/20 cabinets design? i need a mouse that can make small moves i am new to this program so have no cluse
ОтветитьHow about Logitech G600
ОтветитьM570 is actually more accurate than the normal mices. Try to play counter strike for one week, you will feel the magic of m570 ;)
ОтветитьPlease 3dconnexion, for the love of God. No more extra buttons. You'll destroy it. Keep it simple. Thanks.
ОтветитьReally detailed video! Good stuff
Ответитьawesome
Ответитьhow is about the mouse with a lot of buttons (like logitech G600) ?
ОтветитьI would recommend Logitech G604.. It has 6 side buttons that are perfect to map to shortcuts in for example AutoCAD (which I use it for).
ОтветитьIs the space mouse blue tooth as well?
ОтветитьAbout 25 years ago I bought a Logitech ergonomic keyboard and TrackMan. The latter has a ball that's double the size of the TrackBall, 4 buttons and about the same shape as the new trackman. You could move the ball with all fingers, as the ball peeked through the ridge of the mouse. When it finally wore down totally, I switched to my early version of the TrackBall, which I still use today. Meanwhile I went through several high resolution gaming mouses, but none distinctly recommendable.
ОтветитьIt's a pity that you didn't check the gamer mouses. I use a Logitech G502 and it's great.
You're right though that the 3D connexion SW is really great. Probably the best customization SW out there.
I had a Cordless Optical Trackman. Great trackball mouse. But several buttons didn't work anymore. I can't get a new one because they not made anymore. Now i have a Elcom Huge. Much better.
ОтветитьI'm using MX ergo at main setup and microsoft designer mouse on the go. Logitecht mx ergo is a great mouse after than used to using. Microsoft designer mouse so uncomfortable but so slim for carrying bag.
ОтветитьGreat video!
ОтветитьI am using the MX Master since a couple of years, mainly because I have big hands, but I couldn't think about a world without the extra thumb button and I actually think that the Logitech software for the MX Master is really good, but you convinced me to buy a 3D connexion mouse if my Logitech ever got broken.
ОтветитьUse cheap optical mouse with low weight ,works best
ОтветитьI have been using 3dconnexion CadMouse since years now.
I have the corded version (I don't like wirless stuff, it's not as precise and it depends on batteries) and it is simply the best mouse I have ever had.
I would not go back to any other mouse.
The actual center button is also a bless.
I use a Redragon Cobra Chroma mouse. It´s cheap and awesome.
