Ответить✅ Just a reminder for when you’re writing expressions... you want to write any variable terms first and constant terms go last. If there are multiple terms that involve variables, they should go in order from greatest to least as far as exponents. If any exponents are the same, go in abc order. For example, #4, we have a variable of c and a variable of d. They both don’t have an exponent written, so they go in abc order (remember, if no exponent is written, there is an understood exponent of 1).
✅ For #4, we can also think through the distributive property by distributing the -8 to to the -c, which gives us 8c. Then, we can bring down the subtraction sign. Next, we can distribute the -8 to the d. That gives us -8d. So we end up with 8c - (-8d). Now 8c - (-8d) is correct, but remember, subtracting a negative is the same as adding a positive, We can change subtraction to adding the opposite, so we can rewrite this as 8c + 8d. We can rewrite the subtraction of a negative as adding a positive in order to get rid of the double sign (this cleans up the expression and makes it a little simpler). So you can see, we get 8c + 8d that way as well. To recap, 8c - (-8d) is correct and equivalent to 8c + 8d, we can just rewrite that double sign as one. Subtracting a negative is the same as adding a positive.
✅ Thanks so much for watching! ✌✌✌
