This was me during tag 2's lifecycle, "OMG THIS GAME SUCKS, IT DOESN'T RESPECT MUH MISHIMA TEAMS! IT'S ALL CLONES REEEE"
That said it's much easier to learn the game when they finally allowed unlimited rematches, so you wouldn't get burned by cheese and then have the opponent win quit so you could never learn the matchup
Tekken is like music. You want to get better you have to practice and research. No way around it but to enjoy the process.
ОтветитьAnd now in Tekken 8 whiff punish electric with one button
ОтветитьAlways love those kinds of videos. TMM is really good at talking about such topics and conveys the point very well every single time. And he is also 100% correct. Don't let your ego be in the way of your success. Learn some humility and see every game or match as a learning experience, regardless of whether it was a win or a loss. You'd be surprised how much that alone that skyrocket your progress.
Ответить10+ years of playing Tekken, and I’m still mediocre mainly because I’ve never cared, up until I started playing online. Which was a year ago so I’m still mediocre, but overall I’m improving little by little. I’m not gonna lie though, it is a bit discouraging running into a really good player, and getting destroyed 0-8.
ОтветитьLife advices here
ОтветитьI needed to hear this
ОтветитьEncountered such players,i was playing kazumi and was using my brother's account cuz it his laptop,so as not to affect his rank by playing online. I played quick matches,my rank was 1st dan but my real account is only usurper rank. Encountered a leroy player in green rank,i beat him then accepted his rematch. He got me in a close fight then proceeded to ki charge and not accept my rematch. Then bro went and sent a friend request only to trashtalk me about me smurfing. Guy was so tilted when it isn't even a ranked match. Was just an online game with the intention of playing casuals. But boy was he fuming 🤣🤣🤣
Ответитьeven for CHESS tis the same.
Ответитьfighting gm also thinks she is scrubby. the best lee player in the world. you dont need to have hypocritical level humble mentality to improve. you can call out BS and still practice and learn how to counter it and feel like a champ. unlike what TMM says there is different kind of rages . there is the weak minded scrubby type where the person rrefuses to learn. and the one that makes you want to show the opponent their place so you learn how to beat them
ОтветитьI am not saying i have a big d1k, but i am proud of every feet of it.😊
ОтветитьI taught a friend how to play Tekken from almost scratch and after about 100 hours of playing with him 1v1, then he smashed through ranked nearly undefeated to Fighter rank. That's not a lot of time in Tekken yet he became significantly better than average because he wanted to get good at the game and had fun learning.
ОтветитьTotally agree. Losing because of a shitty connection can and will happen but that's not the sole reason of why we lose. 90% of the time is because we are emotional to losing and as a result we make bad decisions thus getting outplayed. It's mostly us, the reason why we lose. We have to humble ourselves and respect the opponent.
Ответитьi have like 700h and my rank is raijin, stucked asf
ОтветитьI didn't play for 3 years got past the purples within a few hours in the game with kazuya. The opponents online can be very dumb or just have patterns. Reading patterns is what makes you aware of the enemy all the time.

Good talk. This was quality content that I needed to hear. Love your channel 👍
Ответитьi see kuma 1 Time a year . 😂
ОтветитьI used to be like that. Blaming others or the game. Or getting upset at others for not playing as I think they should..
Specially when you go from having never played into feeling like you are getting the hang of it, then getting completely wrecked. But at that point I feel like I should start winning, but I'm just facing stronger opponents and I get immediately humbled. But all of what you say is sooo important. And we should really take a step back and try not to get upset or blame others.
Its completely fine to get mad from time to time. Were all humans. But learn from your mistakes, thats the most important part. Dont play to win. Play to learn, it might take time for you to see the fruits of your labor, but in time this will pay off way more than picking up some flowcharts and gimmicks
Ответитьi thought im decent at 300 hours and i was recording my games... now i have 700 and my past myself IS SO TRASH when I look back, I can imagine same will happen when i hit 1000+
ОтветитьMediocre and proud
ОтветитьI think its because Kazuya should get all positives of Jin
ОтветитьPlease TMM remember your words, when you play against certain characters. Don't be mad and salty, they just outplayed you because of your mistakes and weakneses, not because they are cheap or broken. Just learn.
ОтветитьI lose because I suck.
ОтветитьFighting Games vs DBD is not a good comparison. DBD is not a competitive game, the players try to make it that way.
ОтветитьTo become better in fighting games, it's always best to look back and find out how you lost and then correct your mistakes. Even I lose matches because I made howlers. The difference is I want to get better at fighting games.
ОтветитьTMM: Learn instead of complaining about "imbalanced" bla bla
Also TMM: Gets DVJ nerfed with all his whining and crying until he never sees tournament light anymore.
But also: Sometimes the game just isn't fun for you and there is no point in forcing yourself through the legit psychological anguish of loosing 1000's of times, when you don't enjoy the ride.
ОтветитьTMM after using words like DLC syndrome,Jin is broken, caludio is broken, xiaoyu howrang are broken, you play panda so less hence not know matchup and thus kuma/panda are broken etc, "You shouldn't blame the game" lol
ОтветитьI play tekken 7 just for my love of mishimas, I started to practice wavedash and electrics and backdash first, it tooks me almost 2 years to master those moves, and i didnt care about frames and matchup knowledge, i reached purple rank without zero knowledge of frames and matchup, but i have a great execution, when i reached purple rank the games become more difficult for me, they know how to counter all i do, my opponents start to punish well, so i decided to learn frames and matchup, and i'm still here, learning frames and matchup, and its more difficult than learning electrics and wavedash and backdash.
ОтветитьOh god mainhypocriteman at it again. Everything you said about being emotional, salty... you do know applies to you, right? You wouldnt be that idiot who doesent learn and instead blames the opponent, the game, the character, riiiiight? 🙄
ОтветитьThats not the case, its not about your mistakes you're making, its literally about how unga bunga character you playing against is - Kunimitsu, Noctis, Zafina, Geese, Steeve, Marduk, Kazuya, Hwoarang, Law.... Even MainMan once said - Dont try to be honest in the most not honest game. I do agree you must learn to play and im not devils advocate but 90% of games you lose are only because of absolutely brainless spam machine that can pressure you with 2 buttons with no options to evade it. Kazuya was here just to remind that there is fifty-fifty exists which has nothing to do with skill.
ОтветитьI had a bad relationship w the game now I don’t get mad anymore Ik that sf6 will always be my game going forward I’ll be a fan of the game but i might be done w it.
ОтветитьSomeone link LTG this video
ОтветитьYou can definitely only be mediocre or great. To beat green rank spammers, you need at least 8k hours so you remember maybe one or two strings you can punish and what to block low. As a newcomer of 130 hours, I'm not enjoying most of my time with the game because I'm terrible and punishing feels impossible. Any tips on enjoying the game more and improving other than lab for a thousand hours? I really want to enjoy this game more while actually playing it.
ОтветитьBest thing i did to improve was lounging ruler ranks and red ranks when I was new and labbing a shit ton. Just get a combo down for all your important buttons, learn your best strings and buttons and test it against higher ranks.
You learn fundamentals way faster. How to pressure, frame data, movement, etc. Once you go into ranked it'll be like facing a bunch of newborn babies.
Some points he is wrong. Once you hit a certain skill level with mods like button mapping and Arcade Controllers it’s all about Luck and who gets the punishment combos no matter what skill level you are.
ОтветитьWhat I always do when I get too much salty and blaming the game, I rest for around 3 days so that I can think clearly and watch my replays so that I can analyze what are the mistakes I do and the reason I lost
ОтветитьBlocking lows is working 50/50 in this game. I am raging only then.
ОтветитьI learn so much from you. I need to keep this in mind! when I play my friend(king main) it is so annoying that his hopkick / two hand launcher beats many things I use with kazuya. Even though I have a 8:1 chance of always winning the set everyday when I do lose it feels like he isn't winning because he is improving, he just has good moves that are hard to deal with. But thanks to you I just need to remember to just be better. I have to thank him though, throws do not scare me.
ОтветитьI don’t mind losing but I get hot when I lose because of the side wall.
ОтветитьI just blame myself, for all mistakes I make.
All losses I take, are a learning tool to adapt and overcome in next match.
You will learn, and grow in due time. <3
he just described to not to act like LTG...
Ответитьyeah, its true... respect man...
