Beautiful way you explained how to do this song. I will practice and just subscribed to your channel. Thanks!
Ответитьuauuu
ОтветитьThis is the best tutorial video of this song I have found so far, and I haven’t even finished watching!
You clarify the chords and strumming patterns in a simple way that is easily understood.
So grateful I found this video and thank you!!
🙏🏼🎸🎤
Great lesson. So clear and concise. Subscribed!
ОтветитьThis song has become quite popular over the years and I believe is something like Neil’s second-most downloaded song now. Quite an achievement for an artist whose best work was considered behind him when it was released in 1992.
ОтветитьOk that D riff in the verse is a tough one but after a hundred times through it I'm nailing it.
I watched 4 other tutorials on this and kept coming back here for the expert class.
Funny how a lot of Neil's songs are filled with tricky chord shapes and hammer ons/offs
Thank you !
I started playing this song the other day, my wife gave me the wink, and dragged me into the bedroom🤩🤩🎶🎶.
Thank you👍🏻👍🏻
When someone wants to learn a song, check with you first! You'll get 'em playing it FAST. Thank you!
ОтветитьWhat model Taylor ? You are my go to for a proper lesson. Thanks so much ! Great song and Rolling Stone rated this as Neil’s 37th best…imagine that
ОтветитьI played this song in my... youth 🤣. Recently I picked up "Country Girl (Whiskey Boot Hill)" from the CSNY Deja Vu album, which has a similar vibe / shuffle, and this one started going through my head again. I was pleased to find your tutorial, which looks exquisite with the guitar against the background, and also sounds great. It all came back pretty quickly. Now I'll be playing this one to death. Thanks.
ОтветитьYep! I've taught that myself, and those harmonics are dead on!
ОтветитьWhen I need to learn a cover song CORRECTLY, I first check with your site. Oh wait, you are from Canada. I meant "cheque" :)
ОтветитьAwesome as usual
ОтветитьShut up and play.
ОтветитьLove it! Picked up my guitar and started working on it. Youre my fav channel. Still working on your Sultans of Swing fills... good stuff!
ОтветитьI love how he mixes his rhythm up just a bit
ОтветитьLove these videos. Great for learning how the recording was done and to your point, the artist (in this case Neil Young) rarely ever plays it the same twice. Once I learn these the way they were recorded, I turn around and make them my own.
ОтветитьThanks a lot, you teach very well, it's easy to get
ОтветитьTrès beau travail.
ОтветитьDude!! Excellent tutorial as always. Really like your videos.
ОтветитьGreat lesson as always, and love the writeups you do on your website. A small suggestion (enhancement) for this lesson - at the end of the chorus (the alternating A7sus4 to A7)I do a brief “chord walk up”, all down strokes, starting with the last A7, like this:
X02020
X04030
X05050
X07070
Before going to the final iconic riff. I can “almost” here this on the recording, but in any case, especially for a solo player, I think it’s a nice enhancement.
This is the only tutorial that really breaks down that D riff part!!! Thanks <3
ОтветитьGreat lesson..addressing all the nuances. Thank you.
Ответитьwonderful job Andy for a wonderful love song, one of the very best Neil - or anyone- ever wrote. In the same category as George Harrison's "Something": a classic that will stand the test of time for sure. You rock
ОтветитьThanks a million. Nice tutorial. Thanks for sharing
ОтветитьI love Neil Young man, such a way with the guitar. So simple yet so elegant and mysterious
ОтветитьI started to make a comment and then realized no matter what comment I make it still comes down to shut up and play. Yeah I know.. shut up and play. But a as long as I'm yapping, after watching some other lessons on this song, I now realize 'Shut Up And Play' could apply as well to the people giving lessons. Your lessons are concise and to the point and when you do talk it's relevant and informative. So thank you very much for shutting up and playing 😊
ОтветитьGreat stuff, Andy. Thanks - and time I feed the tip jar!
Ответитьgreat video - great job - great song. thumbs down from lynyrd skynyrd band?
ОтветитьYou got detail that I totally missed thank you
ОтветитьQual seria essa Afinação ?
ОтветитьThat´s worderfull! Great job guy!
ОтветитьI read a comment somewhere mentioning you are Canadian. If so then you are doing us proud!
ОтветитьThanks for the harmonics! I've never been about to get that.
ОтветитьThank you. I never knew all that great stuff was in there.
ОтветитьThank you for calling me out on the „too much strumming“ approach to this song! :-) I‘d even covering it for a few years, on and off, and always overdoing it. You saved me from that, and I learned a thing or two (or three) about the best way to handle the upstrokes/downstrokes, plus a couple of small points I‘d been glossing over. I‘d first watched about 3 other videos of yours today...and subscribed immediately after watching the first one! Love your skill, thoroughness without „too-muchness“, and relaxed style of delivery! You rule, dude! :-)
ОтветитьMARAVILLOSO. Gracias!!!
Ответитьas always inspiring. Thank you. is that a metronone playing?
ОтветитьNot just the magical playing, the stories are amazing, informational, they put you there. Best ever!
ОтветитьWhat a fantastic straightforward lesson, clear and informative, well done and thank you for sharing your knowledge 👏👏
ОтветитьEvery song you teach is so spot on dude. All of my guitar friends are amazed how close I am to the original pieces. I send them your way. I have corrected my bad covers since finding your site. Thank you. I checked out a couple other lessons, and they overplay it just like you said. After your lesson, I played with Neil's unplugged video and it sounds dead on. Thanks for sharing your gift.
ОтветитьGreat tutorial, I listened to the live version and picked up a few things Neil does. It is a beautiful song. What key is the harmonica in?
Ответитьgreat video , great tune , good job teaching ,, way back in the early 60's learning to play was so much different than it is today , one of the better things the internet has to offer , these gem guitar lessons
ОтветитьThx Tim, so much.
ОтветитьBeautiful. Thanks.
ОтветитьMan blessings to you Andy...
Ответитьperfect presentation when you played it full
ОтветитьAnother great song. I've been meaning to ask you...where do you get those great backing tracks?
Ответить
