Do you recommend any non hybrid inverters for 100% off grid use?
ОтветитьHas anyone tried to hook up two such a batteries in parallel?
ОтветитьBut all I hear is ev batteries just go right into the land fill, are you saying ice propagandists are lying?
ОтветитьGreat stuff, and thank you for sharing! Any idea what it would take to us this approach on a 2015 Kia Soul EV battery?
ОтветитьSo Cheap! really? I guarantee that if I try to buy a used EV battery in Australia, I will pay through the nose.
ОтветитьHere from Cory Mac. Great work on this! It's a game changer.
ОтветитьCan the battery be mounted vertically, instead of on the ground?
ОтветитьWhen an IGBT fails (in your inverter) they often fail to short circuit. I agree with all the suggestions about adding fuses, it is really important.
ОтветитьCurious how this compares in cost to assembling equivalent kwh LiFePO4 packs using the DIY kits and grade A cells, assuming you don't already have an unused ev battery of course?
ОтветитьTosi mielenkiintoista!!!
ОтветитьBrilliant
ОтветитьI hope no one sees this video and try the same setup with the 400v out on a Tesla battery pack... As I understand it this is ONLY possible to use like this because the inverter you have is 48v and the leaf battery is also 48v? Most electric cars have MUCH higher voltages, (like 400v on the Tesla).
ОтветитьNice piece of work you did there. Would the same setup work and code work if I need to connect a Renault Zoe battery to a Huawei sun2000 hybrid inverter?
ОтветитьWhere do you buy the batteries? What price did you pay for Nissan battery? Thank you for the great content.
Ответитьexcellent work👍
ОтветитьThis is a great video! I wish i was as smart as you :-) great to see people utilising old ev batteries properly
ОтветитьCould you please make a review of how does the system work today and what is going on with the capacity of the battery. Is there challenges that you had to overcome meanwhile? Thank you for all your efforts and sharing the knowledge
Ответитьreduction box DC to DC reducer do you have a link or brand thanks
Ответитьnice
ОтветитьThe wires on the side of the house only have a single layer of isolation. A good practice is to use double isolation. In this case you would put the cables into plastic tubes.
ОтветитьHave you ever thought about making a somewhat plug and play solution and selling it?
Im sure there would be plenty of people who can source the high voltage battery and cable but the electrical wiring and programming may be too much for some (*ahem*). If you ever do, I would be interested in buying that solution.
Fantastic 🤙🏼
Ответить😍
ОтветитьIs it possible to plug in car insted of using battery from the car?
ОтветитьNice 💯🔥
Ответитьcan this work with solaredge ?
ОтветитьThis seems great!
I'm thinking on upgrading a Renault Zoe's from 20 to 40 kWh (with used 40 batt) and use this 20 batt at home... Where do you recommend me start planning this?
Impressive! So I need a inverter that can handle 500v of PV? That battery is 400v. ? This battery is hooked to my PV inputs? Is the Leaf BMS working? Thanks,
ОтветитьGreat project, got me all excited until I realized I do not have the technician password to set up and manage the battery on the inverter. Any advice?
ОтветитьAny advice for using a SolArk with a used EV battery?
Ответитьi was thinking a small micro plc modicon uses one you could replace the switch dance with a small ladder logic program and timing seqence
ОтветитьThis is awesome. How would I connect regular eve cells to a gen24 and get it to work?
ОтветитьHow much power can you generate fro that?
ОтветитьAwesome Daniel, are there experiences with emulating a Pylon battery with Growatt SPH inverters? Thanks and best
ОтветитьThank You Dala. Would this be possibile with a Huawei SUN2000 Inverter?
ОтветитьLeaf has V2X system inbuilt, was it not useful?
ОтветитьKia EV batteries are really low price now . Might be interesting to have a solution for it
ОтветитьIs this setup waterproof?
ОтветитьHello,
I've been thinking about getting a similar Fronius inverter with a reasonably large battery storage myself.
Is it possible with Fronius to feed the battery’s energy into the grid, for instance, controlled via Home Assistant?
For example, at a full 10 kW power, if the battery pack allows it?
And another question: is it possible for the inverter to charge the battery directly from the grid?
I’d likely set up the controls with Home Assistant, which I'm already using.
Does this work with the EG 6000xp?
ОтветитьHow is this holding up a year on?
ОтветитьI wanna live there...
ОтветитьHi Dala really appreciate the time taken to share this us. Did you utilize the stock BMS for your leaf battery? Ive just purchased 2 brand new Hyzon EV truck batteries collectively rated at 60Kwh! Would it take much work to adapt the coding for my application?
ОтветитьVery very cool !!!
Does it also support the eGolf battery pack?
will this work for only Gen 24 inverter? of any Fronius Inverter specifically Primo inverters ? Dala you should get a noble prize for this
ОтветитьNice work !!
Have you ever considered whether it might be possible to take the solar power stored in a repurposed E.V. battery and feed it directly (D.C. to D.C) in order to charge another E.V. battery in a working vehicle without converting it to A.C. and back again?
Would it be possible to do it safely with some kind of DIY charge controller, comprising resistors to limit the current flow?
Very nice.
Remember to protect the wire reduction with a fuse at the point where you have the reduction
