I've been to Coyoacan when I visited Mex City. I like the ice cream parlor. Check out Zona Rosa.

My wife is from here. We try and go once a year. Just got back frim there yesterday. Enormous day of the dead party with a carnival and food vendors everywhere.

I never knew Coyoacan was in the point of gentrification....I might stop by....I am hispanic, but Canadian born and raised here in Canada and although I am not Mexican I am IN LOVE with Mexico City and central Mexico. I am taking my two Canadian girlfriends to Mexico City in June, it'll be their first time. We were planning to do Centro Historico, Reforma, Condesa and Roma but I think we might do Coyoacan too! It looks lovely....did you feel safe there all the time?
