Very informative. Thanks
ОтветитьFor the record, we said clavicle and meant trapezius muscle when referring to the bottom of the table and the 10mm removable pads. It was a long day of shooting... :-p
ОтветитьAt 6:52, we mention that the height of the thoracic can be adjusted. This is incorrect as ONLY the angle of the wedge can be adjusted. Sorry for any confusion.
Ответитьjason never blinks ^^
Ответить@RevZillaTV :) the clavicle is a bit small (and quite useless) :P
Ответить@RevZillaTV hey. does this Leatt Neck Brace dramatacly increases my chances of surviving a serious neck injury??
Ответить@1775edde yes it will, i got one for motocross and downhill mountain biking and i've had some seriously nast crashes with it on and me and the brace were all good to go :), i spoke to the guy who was working at the mountain rescue at fort william (one of the hardest downhill mountain biking world cup courses) and he told me they have never had a neck injury with a rider waring the brace
ОтветитьWhen was this first available on the market???? Bloody hell maketing on motorcycle safety products is very poor. This vid was uploaded in March and I was unaware of this product??? I never seen it in magazines as such. I am ordering a couple. NOW!
Ответить@strixeh They are compatible with the body protectors and they will fit under jackets designed for neck braces. Check out the video on the Alpinestars Venture Jacket!
Ответить@revhead9827 Both!
ОтветитьI got one too (the KTM version) and use it off road. Fits perfect, much better than the adventure!
ОтветитьSweet!
ОтветитьWhat would you recomend for an adventure bike, something like a Super Tenere or a R1200GS. I've been looking and I'm not sure what could be a better choice between the STX and the Adventure.
ОтветитьIf you're doing the majority of your riding on street, I would suggest the STX. It's lower profile allows for a greater range of motion for head-checks. If you will primarily be using it for off-road / adventure riding, then you can save the $100 and go for the ADV version. ~Ali
ОтветитьYes, the two products are compatible. There is lots of info on ADVrider about combining the neck brace and the BMW Enduro helmet. ~Ali
ОтветитьI love anything that gives me more protection. I found out about this brace from Revzilla =). I've been using it for about 4 months. This brace is great. It is comfortable, easily adjustable and interfaces with other gear fairly well. There are a couple of things to note. I have a Sena com unit for one of my helmets and it does not work too well with the brace. This doesn't interface well with Dainese Thorax Wave Pro which is quite unfortunate because both of them are phenomenal by themselves.
Ответитьwooooowww my wife bought me this product and this excellent already not I can handle my bike without the
ОтветитьGuys, please, make a review of a Leatt Body Protector Adventure (full pressure suit). There isn't a single review on this unit currently. Thanks. BTW your reviews are the best. ;)
ОтветитьThank you for the video suggestion. We'll see if we can get our hands on one for a review. ~Ali
ОтветитьThe Leatt neck braces work well. The neck brace is designed to reduce spinal compression in a crash. ~Ali
ОтветитьMore and more street riders are using the neck braces on road. I would say it is a personal preference if you decide to wear one or not. Leatt and MOVEO are 2 brands to check out. They are about as expensive as a quality helmet. ~Ali
Ответитьcan you use it for motocross
Ответитьwouldn't this thing slide down while riding in the tuck position?
ОтветитьFrom what I understand, these stay in place once mounted. Is there anyone out there who has tried this in a tuck position who can help? ~Ali
ОтветитьDitto on the previous Request.
ОтветитьI just bought one after trying it out at a trackday, the way the seller explain to me is that they are like shoes and will fit to your body better over time, and it will not move around once broken in. Until then, they come with straps, that go around your armpits, if you have those on they don't move around.
ОтветитьJason needs to smile.
ОтветитьI find it very misleading that the straps are not part of the review. Anyone that says you won't need the straps is so full of Male Bovine Excrement, they should lose a mouthful of teeth. I would hope they also ride without the straps, but every time one of those idiots becomes a quadriplegic or dies, my insurance goes up, so, deep breathe, Wear The Straps Or It Will Harm You More Than Not Having It At All.
ОтветитьOver $300 for a piece of plastic
And that's American dollars
Yeah
There's a reason why China makes so many counterfeit products
Jason, Help me out here....I ride a touring bike and I sit more upright than a sport bike therefore I am looking for something that will support the helmet from the back for wind loading...I find in a long trip after some riding my head starts to tip back and Im looking out of the bottom of the visor and thru my bifocals....Then when I conscientiously tip my head back down where it should be it hurts like hell because my head has been tipped back and I hyper flexed my neck. Will this STX cure that problem..???
