Call me old fashioned but i think her style would have looked like something i would have put in my 13-14-or 15 yr old's hair. Sorry😳😵💫🤨
ОтветитьAlthough Carla did a wonderful job, I’m still not a fan of children having weaves, wigs or long extensions that look nothing like their own hair. As a community this is a step backwards. People have shed blood sweat and tears to wear natural hair and we teaching our kids what God gave them is not good enough. This confirms once again to white people that what they are born with, is better than what we are born with. Black people everywhere need to stop trying to live up to white standards. God did not make mistakes. When you get grown be creative, but as a child you must learn to love the skin you are in and the hair that you were gifted with.
ОтветитьShe's absolutely gorgeous. Beautiful hairstyle for a sweet and beautiful little girl. ❤❤
ОтветитьHer hair came out lovely, Ms. Carla. 💜💜💜
She may wanna stop licking her lips so much, though. It's bad for her skin. Her mom should get her some chapstick to put on them instead.
Perfect and Pretty
ОтветитьBeautiful and age appropriate!
ОтветитьOMGoodness! Look at that smile! Beautiful!
ОтветитьYou did amazing. The style was cute and fun, fit for a whimsical kid.
BUTTT,....Why are people always sexualizing Black girls for things other races girls do without being adultified? There's no such thing as a "kid friendly" hairstyle outside of the context that a kid may play too hard and mess it up. I get if the parent is concerned about her daughters self esteem in regards to her African features, but for folk in these comments to imply a hairstyle can be "grown." is ludicrous. Parents do and say these things to their Black daughters and don't realize how painful that is to us. And then they wonder why they start acting out.
STORYTIME:
I remember being in 6th grade and one girl in one class was the only child whose mom was still giving her doodoo braids with barrettes. We're talking a 12/13 year old teen, and she was probably the baddest kid in the class. I'm talking changing outfits in the bathroom and talking to boys bad. Why? Bc she was being bullied for having kindergarten hairstyles and she was tryna prove she was "cool." Meanwhile all the other girls had natural styles, braids, and relaxers *me. Now I'm 23. My hair is natural and I love wearing all kinds of styles and wigs. I love my Black features despite having grown up with tracks, relaxers, and long hair, annnnd I'm still a virgin, because I was raised right not because of how I dressed or a hairstyle on my head.
What a BEAUTY! ❤❤❤
ОтветитьCute
ОтветитьGreat! Why don’t you start ruining black girls edges even younger?
ОтветитьLove what you do ❤
ОтветитьVery cute and kids friendly
ОтветитьHair is hair idc what nobody says in these comments yes a 10yr old can get extensions.
ОтветитьThis is gorgeous! But I think the lace front could have been avoided since the glue can cause breakage around the hairline.
ОтветитьI love it!!
ОтветитьSOoo Beautiful 😍
ОтветитьGood decision. It looks beautiful and kid friendly. Gorgeous young lady
ОтветитьBeaultiful
ОтветитьLooks pretty ❤
ОтветитьThis is sad.
ОтветитьBeautiful ❤️❤️❤️
ОтветитьSuper cute!
ОтветитьHell no kids should look dress speak walk like a child next thing is she thinks she’s grown and want a man this hairstylist should not be doing this whether the muma wants it or not the ma is a shameless mother 😢
ОтветитьLook At the Smile when That Hair hat got sewn in! She was Cute Before, but something... such be life.
ОтветитьOMG! She turned out so cute! I notice a lift in her self-esteem too with her new hairstyle. Beautiful work. :)
ОтветитьShe looks Gorgeous
ОтветитьYou always do a great job I think tho this starting a process of young black girls not loving what they got and know how to work with it
ОтветитьI refuse to read the comments bc I know as a community we loveeee to get in a tissy over other people's kid (moreso than our own) ESPECIALLY when it comes to our girls. This hair style turned out beautiful!! Black girls deserve to feel beautiful, special, and pretty. Loveee what you did here. You're doing God's work Karla!!
ОтветитьThat's not extensions. That's a wig. The style looks great, but the child was beautiful with her natural hair too.
ОтветитьI agree with the other commenters. The little girl is very cute, but 10 years old is a bit young for extensions. If she weren't shorter in stature, I'd think she was a teenager. The style is beautiful, but yes, too much hair and too long.
Go, Girl! 😊
Her mother has to take care of her hit not karla
ОтветитьPerfect for a 10 year old.
ОтветитьI love it. Very Kid friendly.
ОтветитьThe hair style is too old looking for her.
ОтветитьHaving hair extensions or dyed/colored hair isn't going to make her look "grown". A child is gonna look like a child. It's the creepy men and unchecked creepy women that adultify young black girls. There's nothing wrong with exploring one's style. I personally think it's childish for grown ass adults to walk around with rainbow hair, makes more sense for a child to have multiple colors on their head because kids have a hard time picking one thing lol. She looked cute at both stages of her hair. Whether she loves or is learning to love her natural hair is part of her personal journey.
(Side note)
Maybe she is having a hard time at school. Kid's are cruel. Braids and protective styles are a constant target for bullying. I hate it but it's true. Maybe there are other girls at her school with extensions or color in their hair. Being an outcast amongst peers sucks. She's only 10! It's hard for adults to not be self-conscious of their appearance.
I think the curls actually kept it more kid friendly... looks cute.
ОтветитьLong straight was cute but looked like adult style
ОтветитьShe looks so cute 😁
ОтветитьThis is cute!
ОтветитьBeautiful! And very appropriate for a 10-yr old celebrating a special occasion--particularly since it only comes once a year.
ОтветитьThis might be a stupid question, and pleaae forgive me if it is (I do not mean to offend anyone) can you wash the extensions? Like if you go out by a bonfire (when I do my hair always smells like smoke and I have to wash it to get rid of the smell) do extensions hold the smell, and if so, can you wash them like natural hair? (By natural, I mean the hair that grows on someone's head naturally)
ОтветитьVery cute little girl hair style
ОтветитьI love your work, may I ask why the extensions are not just added to her real hair
ОтветитьLil cutie pie has a full head of healthy strong hair! Happy Birthday baby gyal 💖🎉🎈🎉⭐️
ОтветитьShe is and looks beautiful
ОтветитьVery nice
