To round out the best year of my life, I’m spending the last two months of 2022 exploring nine countries across southern Africa. I started with a week in Cape Town with a friend of mine, after which we drove nearly 6000km across the continent. After the roadtrip ended, Nikias flew home, and I spent time in JoBurg and Cape Town in South Africa before spending a few days exploring the French island of Réunion. I spent the final days of 2022 in my 26th country of the year: Mauritius.

Hi! I’m Jana, a British-Dutch-Canadian. I was raised mostly in Canada and left for a six-week backpacking trip at the beginning of 2019… and I haven’t been back to Canada since!
