All thise films make u want to see that particular film & a good movie trailer is extremely rare to find weather the film is good or bad!!!! This is definitely one of them good ones!!!! Especially that last half playing that "Comfortably Numb" song , i get goosebumps!!!!

Scorsese wanted Tom Cruise & Brad Pitt & Ray Liotta as the three main younger cops & they definitely would have done a good job but im so glad they casted a younger cast that were all in their complete primes at the time !!!! Leo , Matt & Mark was a perfect casting for this film in 2006!!!! Hands down!!!!

I love all Scorsese crime films but this is the only other Scorsese film that got me acually hyped while watching it other than Goodfellas!!!! Alot of folks would consider Casino his sequel to Goodfellas but it didn't get me as hyped to see it as this did!!! This is his true sequel to Goodfellas!!! Its exactly like what his Italian actors is to that movie except this is Irish actors & characters instead!!!!! & Its by far the best & most intense & interesting & original crime film hes made since that film!!!!! Its the Irish version of that film!!!!

see this what's always boggled me. Colin will do anything to cover the fact that he's a mole, I'm surprised he didn't go aggressive towards Madolyn considering at this point she's the only one who realized Colin's dual status (other than Dignam at the end).

Apparently this is a remake if internal affairs 1 & 2 maybe mashed up, many do not approve. America steals everything idk how i was born here

I can't believe its been 18 years

Leonardo DiCaprio should have received an Oscar award for his character playing in this movie. He really depicts the stress that someone inside a mafia group should feel

I have always had very mixed feelings on The Departed for a few reasons.

1. I watched the "Infernal Affairs" trilogy before I saw The Departed so none of the story twists were a surprise to me.

2. I thought the 2nd Infernal Affairs movie was a LOT better than the first. The changes at the end made a sequel impossible.
