So now ive seen the best version of this gag:
Buddy vs Jerry
The modern versions being:
Conan O'Brien vs Max W
&
Will Ferrell vs Chad Smith
But this makes me wonder how long has this gag been a "thing"?
With the way all popular music is so sampled and remade/repurposed how many generations or eras or epochs or millenniums have those phrases and rythmes and drumbeats and connections and sentiments have been pased down?
Animal did it better
ОтветитьBendiciones para la familia 😅😅
ОтветитьThis was fantastic for 1965..when both were young
ОтветитьQuando o publico aplaude, e por que ja encheu o saco
ОтветитьThis was why he was Neil pierts idol
ОтветитьDrummers these days can play on bigger drum sets, ot play louder, but they will never match the skill of Buddy Rich.
ОтветитьJerry is such an ass!
ОтветитьThank for share This master
ОтветитьSammy Davis Jr. would have given both of them a challenge.
ОтветитьAs I recall, Jerry had a Son who had a Band and some hit recordings.
Oh, and Gene Krupa was no slouch on the Drums.
This was when entertainment was entertaining !!
ОтветитьBuddy Rich was The Great drummer mi God...
Very very great 🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁
Jerry Lewis can play to ...and with legendary drummer buddy ritch
Ответитьlove them both
ОтветитьWhat year is this video from?
ОтветитьWhen the curtain lifts to reveal the orchestra, there's a THIRD drummer with them. What... no love for HIM?
ОтветитьSick...Sick...Sick
What a lost talent
ok está muy vien
ОтветитьBuddy besides always having a great snare sound was that his time was impeccable!
ОтветитьThis is GREATTTT
ОтветитьJerry was a asshole to women and those he thought were inferior to him.
ОтветитьA shame we have no music or comedy stars of this caliber these days. The world clearly is going to heck in a handbasket. I also note I never realized what great teeth Jerry Lewis has.
ОтветитьLong ago, I got to see Charlie Byrd play live at the Hong Kong Bar in the Century Plaza Hotel in Los Angeles. The drummer was Bill Reichenbach, who was Charlie's drummer from 1962 to 1973. That night, Reichenbach suddenly started fooling around, and after the tune, Charlie turned to look at him as if to ask "WTF?" Reichenbach pointed to the first row of tables, and there was Buddy Rich.
ОтветитьTrue entertainment by two VERY gifted entertainers... this was a joy....
ОтветитьTHE YOUNG DRUMMING BUCKS NEED 2 KNOW BUDDY...HE INVENTED ALL THE ...DITTLES!
ОтветитьJonny Carson used to have him on quite a bit.
ОтветитьI really don’t like Jerry Lewis after I heard all about how he abused a lot of people everywhere
ОтветитьJerry's son Gary was a drummer, of course not on Buddy Rich's level
ОтветитьBuddy was the best drummer to ever of existed
Ответить50's , they had FUN.
ОтветитьRonald Golias e Pelé na Familia Trapo
ОтветитьSkorsky buddy rich
ОтветитьSkorsky buddy rich
ОтветитьBuddy is the GOAT..!!
ОтветитьTahun bila ni?
ОтветитьAbsolutely brilliant!! Two amazing talents!! ❤
ОтветитьNothing but some make noise
ОтветитьBrilliant! 👍
ОтветитьThere just isn't any great anymore. Thank you!
ОтветитьI would rather hear Jerry's drumming all day long than have to endure another two minute Bernard Rich solo.
ОтветитьBuddy Rich showcases all of the technical skills that a truly great drummer must have:
Speed, timing, discipline, mastery of rebound, precision, physical strength, and endurance: bravo!
That was a day and age when an entertainer was well rounded and fairly accomished in all areas of entertainment!
ОтветитьI'd have liked to have Buddy as the elderly neighbor or a distant relative, maybe pick up a few bits of talent lol
ОтветитьIf I recollect right Keith Moon used to love watching this guy. He was from The Who. Hello youngster who can't remember
ОтветитьFor those wondering: the drummer in the video is Lars Ulrich. He is best known as the drummer for Metallica, and Lars Ulrich is widely regarded as the greatest technical drummer in world history.
ОтветитьI grew up watching Jerry Lewis. Very influential in the comedy field even though at times silly to older people. As a kid he was a god
